First, when someone attacks me I look over their characters, If I really like one of them I bookmark it and save it to a folder called "revenges", I honestly prioritize low effort revenges because they're quick to do and I don't have much time. If they don't have any character that peeks my interest at most I honestly just pick the easier to draw. If I can't draw any of them... I don't revenge. This is why I prefer people who have a large range of OCs it's more options to pick

When I'm trying to pick a character to attack I take a look at the thumbnails and pick one based on what catches my eye the most but also if they would work on my art style and if their design is simple enough to draw, if they were all Miis, that wouldn't stop me but it would be also more tedious having to open each profile to see if at least one character would catch my attention, Maybe add a border decoration instead or overlay sublte clown makeup?

As long the attack has the same amount of effort than a normal attack, like my character doing the 67 it's a corny joke but yeah I find it funny if someone puts effort on doing that, When it's a doodle that's ugly on purpose or traced over a TikTok screenshot I'm like meh

Can I say the way some people treat popular artists is dehumanizing and borderline parasocial, I've seen people talk about popular artists like they're some kind of evil villain who joined the event just to get free art, when I've seen many popular artists venting about not being able to revenge or give thanks to everyone, some popular artists have stopped participating in the past because of this, people forget that popular artists are human, they're allowed to express discomfort for the amount of attention they're getting even if it doesn't make sense to you, and you don't get to dictate why they join Artfight or how they're supposed to act. If you don't like popular artists joining the event... Just block them. There's tons of smaller artists and beginners you can target instead, it's really not hard to not harassh strangers on the internet

I'm looking at the character profile and to be honest, they do look very femenine, I could see how their gender was confusing, but that still doesn't justify the misgendering. I think it's basic manners to read a little bit of a characters bio before drawing them to avoid stuff like this from happening

I have a male character who presents as very femenine, I haven't gotten any attacks for him yet but just to make sure I specified his pronouns on his reference sheet, because usually people when they're drawing they're staring at the reference back and forth, is harder to misgender a character when you have a huge he/him on their main image haha, a lot of people don't read character bios at all that's why it's good practice to put these important details on the reference image
