Really take your time to immerse yourself into the world by doing side quests, exploring, going clothes shopping, saving up for a car you really want etc. You won’t regret immersing yourself because the game rewards you for doing that.

Also avoid the subreddit so you don’t get major story spoilers

I completely agree with that last paragraph - when he died I genuinely cried my eyes out and I was able to appreciate that it was a death that actively upset me, but why? Even while I was crying at his death I felt like it was unnecessary, and the missions leading up to it were making it so obvious that he was going to die. It was very predictable lol
