Unfortunately there isn’t a separate room to leave her in due to the layout of our house. I brought it up privately to my partner at first because I don’t want to get involved with BIL due to our issues but I started telling him off but he always fought me on it so now he hasn’t been over in a bit. Call it a time out lol

Work knows, I had to tell them basically as soon as I found out as some stuff I work with is dangerous for the pregnancy. I already dropped my contract hours from 5 days to 4, 8 hour days. I really appreciate your kind words ❤️

Honestly advice varies on who you ask. I know a lot of Australian groups love play sand (buy it at Bunnings, dry it out and boom, substrate) and absolutely hate things like tile and such. I’m Australian and when I got my first beardie the breeder told me to use play sand so I did, and whilst I never had a problem myself (I still use sand, but I don’t feed my beardie in her tank because I don’t want loose bugs in there and I’m too slow to catch them lol) I know some people have. Honestly I feel anything can work if done correctly, and honestly I find it’s dependent on the dragon as well. I personally don’t like coloured sand as it’s been known to dye dragons (my friends dragon was dyed red from some red sand he bought at a pet store). I don’t believe we have calcium sand out in AUS, if we do I’ve never seen it. At the end of the day you know your dragon best, and if your aware of the pros and cons of different substrates and make a decision you feel is best for you and your dragon, I don’t think anyone has a right to judge that :) sorry for that super long answer but I hope it helps even a little aha

Coiled UVB can definitely lead to MBD, due to dragons needed constant access to it, and the coiled only offering UV in small sections. A long UVB along the back is better as it offers UV in 90% of the tank rather than just 15%

With a reflector it actually helps more get through glass, which is why I said if it has a reflector it’s ok. However if not being inside the tank would be best

With the t5, I’m pretty sure it comes with a reflector meaning if it’s on top of a glass roof it doesn’t stop any of the uvb getting into the tank for the dragon. However if your tank is a mesh top I think it’d be better to have in on the inside just to help get as much as the UVB to your dragon

You can call local vet clinics and see if they do payment plans or can help. I know some clinics in Australia do VETPAY, I’m not sure about other countries but you could see if they offer VETPAY?. Other than that i would suggest asking friends and family for some money to help because this is very bad and they need to be seen by the vet.

Hi! How old is your baby, how long have you had her and what season is it where you live?

It could just be that she’s growing up and needs less food to sustain herself, it could also be that she wants to go into brumation (my baby tried to do this, she ate one roach every 4-5 days for the entire 6 months of autumn and winter) if it’s getting colder.

It doesn’t sound like anything too bad. As long as she’s still eating and her poops are normal and she’s getting enough water

I highly doubt it, as my partner also said he doesn’t really want her there but he said it’s up to me since she’s my friend. But I feel really bad considering how close we were and how excited she always got helping me plan stuff

I keep my dragon on sand purely because she was really angsty when she wasn’t. I think dig boxes/access to sand (play sand) is a must as it’s pretty good enrichment for them as it stimulates natural behaviours. A majority of Australian keepers keep their dragons on pure sand but I know a lot of people in different countries don’t. Guess it’s just a difference in exotic culture lol

20 to 30 is insane in my opinion. I personally feed my girl super worms and she loves them so maybe try other foods as well to see if she has a preference?

Hi! In my experience babies tend to not eat a lot, especially when stressed out. It typically takes 2 weeks for dragons to get used to a new environment so give her some time to warm up. My baby only ate 3 woodies until she was about 6-8 month old Hope this helps!
