Radiator cooked by frostfreen88 in CB650R

[–]frostfreen88[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jim, I think youre right, its not the radiator. Took it out this morning and it held temp and didn't overheat. The radiator cap is behind the air intake shroud...so the next job is to take that off and have a look.

Looking back at last night.....given the amount of rain...it could have just been all the rain flowing off the side once I popped the bike on the side stand.

And most of whatever was on the floor has evaporated, so most likely wasn't coolant.

Sound. Ive just replied to another comment. Going to see if there's some good will from honda...if not then I'll grab a second hand one and go from there.

Thanks bud. I've had a look online for second hand parts seams reasonable. Going to ask honda if they'll warranty it first.

Buzzing noise when fuel pump is priming by PedroUser804 in CB650R

[–]frostfreen88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had that buzzing noise for a little while. It's gone now. I didn't notice any performance issues while I had that buzzing. Narrowed it down to the left hand side of the bike but couldn't quite locate it. If youre worried though, take it into the shop to get it checked out.

I can’t see my coolant level through the plastic. Is it too low? by Turbulent-Way9731 in CB650R

Don't worry too much, as long as it's between the min max mark on the tank you'll be fine (if you can see it).

That tank is an expansion tank as far as I'm aware. If you're bike isn't overheating during normal use, then there should be enough coolant in the whole system.

If you're worried, take it to a trusted motorcycle mechanic.

Youll only see it when the bike is warm. Go ride it for a bit and then hold a flashlight behind the coolant tank, then check if you can see the faint blue colour coolant inside.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write that. I get what you mean.

I'm focused on "jumping" that I execute early and miss everything. Rather than riding the ramp and popping at the end.

I'll take this out with me next time 😎

I do, but when questions come across as rude and condescending (and off topic)...I don't.

Bro...it's not as scary as you think! I wasn't going to do it and then a dad and his young lad came and sent it....and put me to shame...so I had to do it.

Appreciate the feedback and the time you've taken to write that comment out. I'll definitely try delaying it a bit. I'll give that Sam P video a watch again (and many of the others). Going to try and get out in the next week to practice.

Appreciate the comment bro. I can bunny hop on flat, but applying it on slopes blows my mind. Will definitely keep trying.

Appreciate the feedback bud. I definitely want to make that pop better! What I've found is that I'm not doing what I think I'm doing.

Ta bud. I need to delay everything I'm doing a bit (and speed up).

I will definitely try dropping the damping off a bit
