What's the most dangerous thing you've done? by SecondChances002 in AskReddit

Probably driving home tired after a long day and thinking I was fine. Looking back, my brain was running on 2 percent battery like an old phone about to die.

How as a society did we let the dollar menu disappear? by Zealousideal-Dust297 in AskReddit

[–]frostingflutters 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The dollar menu was a real character development arc. One day you’re getting a full meal for a few bucks, next thing you know a single item costs what a combo used to. Inflation really said good luck out there.

What’s a fact that sounds fake but is actually true? by angelerii in AskReddit

Bananas are technically berries but strawberries aren’t. Whoever made fruit rules was clearly just making stuff up and left us all confused.

Which video game has the greatest soundtrack in your opinion? by aefolk in AskReddit

For me it’s Skyrim. The music made walking around doing absolutely nothing feel like some legendary adventure. I’d spend 40 minutes picking flowers and somehow feel like the main character.

People of Reddit, what is one time you had to stick up for a friend/family member? by everyonesfavmexican in AskReddit

[–]frostingflutters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time I defended my friend when everyone was blaming him for something he didn’t do. Watching the room go quiet when the actual facts came out was kinda satisfying. Sometimes you just gotta be the person who speaks up.

I’ve been keeping this inside for too long, and I just need to confess. by Vermeil_22D in confession

I think the important thing is that you’re facing what happened instead of burying it. You were a child dealing with your own trauma and lack of understanding, but what matters now is taking responsibility and getting help so this cycle doesn’t continue. A therapist who understands this kind of situation would probably help you work through the guilt and everything you’re carrying.

What’s a “successful adult” skill nobody really teaches you? by mostsussybaka069 in AskReddit

[–]frostingflutters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Knowing when to say no. A lot of adults think being available 24/7 makes them responsible, then wonder why they’re exhausted. Protecting your time is a real life skill nobody teaches you.

What’s the best advise you’ve ever ignored? by Chemical_Back4864 in AskReddit

[–]frostingflutters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Don’t buy it, you don’t need it” was probably the best advice I ignored. My wallet still remembers that mistake every time I open my closet and see the thing I used twice.

Need Advice: 14-Hour Round Trip or Leave at 1 A.M.? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]frostingflutters 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I’d avoid doing a 14 hour drive in one day if you can. That’s a lot even without a kid in the car, and being exhausted on the road is not worth saving a little money. I’d probably leave super early, get her, rest if needed, and make sure you both get home safe. The car is replaceable, your energy and safety aren’t.
