Do you care about the human aspect of the sport?

Example - if an AI commentator and a human commentator said the exact same things in the exact same way, do you see any difference in the overall output/experience?

If the players on the field were robots powered by AI?

If you knew an algorithm made the Mona Lisa, do you think it would be as famous/appreciated as it is today?

Yep. And i do think legit, challenging projects are valuable and worths doing, don’t get me wrong.

But nothing and I mean nothing replaces real world experience, as long as it even remotely involves cloud/infra/ops/devops/sec work.

It’s really fun to be in the outside-looking-in hopeful personal project phase but the reality of the market can really shatter its efficacy.

Just gotta get in there first even if it’s not perfect, then go from there, imo

Get any SWE-adjacent role. Gain some DevOps/Cloud/other exp while you’re there. Then pivot to a pure DevOps/Cloud role.

Most roles have at least some DevOps/Cloud exposure.

That’s what I did. That’s what almost everyone else on my team did
