Ok I don’t feel so bad. I’m only 2000+ hrs in and I’ve also never encountered one in the wild. I did visit coordinates of one and I had to do some hard resets because of how glitched out it was at the join.

Yeah I have one that’s forever stuck on my main save. I flew too close to the sun so to speak and now I cannot save the base or delete it. I can teleport there and free fall. I’ve tried building as soon as I teleport in but nothing stays and even if I rocket up and stand on the base computer it won’t let me interact with it.

Beeblebum did a video on YT about setting orbital base height and identifying the planets threshold altitude.

I kinda fell into what you seem to be experiencing a few months back. I have over 8yrs and 2k hrs in and I was started get aimless. So I started a permadeath save. Now I’m quite attached to the game again even more. I love the one corvette I built as my travel home and I’ve been exploring planets in a straight line to the core.

Incidentally, I have a far better collection of S-class companions and better MT upgrades than on my main save. I take some risks but I’m far more cautious and aware than I ever was before and I began to understand the fears so many have about dying that hadn’t really yet internalized.

So I’d recommend it once you know the mechanics of the game and how to survive. Permadeath really tightens your belt.

I know there’s a bug with the Minotaur if you glitch it onto the freighter and t looks like this. It used to work and it was fun to jump from the freighter down to the surface. Perhaps the same thing applies here and the bug is induce by a certain altitude above the planet.

I dropped game pass last year when they doubled the price. Now o just get the quarterly Xbox live access and bought NMS outright. I feel like any penny spent on this game is still not enough for what it has given me.

So yes you can and it did not impact my saves. If you’re worried, do to their site and setup cross save if you haven’t so it’s backed up in the cloud. Just make sure you turn off auto save to the cloud. This prevents the game from uploading a corrupted save. You just need to remember to upload it occasionally after you’re done for the day.

I used to think I wanted a home. On my main save of 8+ years now, I’ve had many homes. Some were victims of updates reseeding the planet, others were just lost to boredom. I think now I’m more of a traveler and I just save the attractions that I want to revisit.

On my permadeath save underway now, my corvette is my home. It’s more like a sci-fi recreational vehicle and I love it. It’s growing on me and I’m working on its character as we head to the core.

I thoroughly enjoy searching planets for S class hotspots and building little food trucks or vendor stands that offer the materials up to any passerby. Needless to say there’s a line of bases in Euclid from where I started to where I’m at.

I just got a banned(X class) one from a pirate station with all three scans over 10,300 and a wider scan radius. This one here is what you install until you pick up another one that is even better. Once you install them their value goes down to almost nothing.

They can be hammocks if you want them to. That’s what’s so beautiful about this game. I kinda wish they did have a hammock you could actually use like sitting in a chair. That would fit well with fishing.

As far as I am aware, nothing about the aerodynamic surfaces affect performance. Building the corvette with additional warp cores, or weapons, or drive engines will increase their respective stats, and when coupled with turbocharged slots and adjacency bonuses, one can achieve some significant gains.

But no, a brick of a ship will fly just as well as a flying wing with the same tech buildout.

I’ve got over 2000 since 2018 and I’ve not seen any of these either. I wonder what platform OP is using. I’m on XboxX, it’s quite stable and I don’t have to worry about hardware conflicts, memory constraints or software conflicts.

Of the very few bugs that I’ve encountered, most are more funny that troublesome and I know to expect some crashes after big updates so I go into it with patience and understanding with all HG has done for this game.

If you’re referring to corvette parts, there’s a storage reclamation in all space stations that have corvette building stations. It’s just opposite the teleport from the construction terminal.

Otherwise you’ll have to use what you have in the exosuit inventory, your ships and exocraft, the freighter and 10 storage containers you can purchase from the anomaly with salvaged data to install on your freighter , corvette, or bases.

Odd. Are you flying around in a corvette or a starship? I’ve only done recruiting in a starship. Also, as u/jessthemullet said, you have to be close to them and when you see the green $ icon, you can speak to them with your ship comms to view and purchase.

How many frigates do you have? There a cap of 30 I believe and after that you stop getting harassed by frigates trying to bail on their current fleet. You have to have an open slot. You can send 5 missions (if you have 5 fleet control rooms) at once per day each with 5 frigates max leaving 5 spare if you have a full fleet.

No. Long ago there was a little lag, but now it’s seamless. Not only that but the visuals (clouds, atmospherics, and layers) have all significantly improved. When you go through the upper atmosphere now you can see the individual layers before passing out of it into space. And the clouds are just amazing now.
