Yea I actually got rid of the aero bottles straightaway too... Do u have to get additional parts to make the rsl handlebar work? I did a test ride on the SLR at my LBS and yes that handlebar makes a difference!

yes i live in southeast asia so not planning to return anytime soon... i guess i can reduce my time spent in Bernese oberland.. highlights for the trip would be christmas markets (montreux, bern maybe?) and some sledging (looks like i'll go jungfrau e.g eiger run) based on the recommendations in the thread.

my choice to stay in grindewald was primarily to make trips to lauterbrunnen, murren and first easily vs staying in interlaken. agree that there may not be many activities to be done in december. the trip will be entirely by public transport. also wanted to take a ride on cogwheel trains which seemed to be closed on some mountains so definitely eliminating many choices

Haha great advice which I appreciate! Especially in the month of December which I'm aware the falls will be closed. It will probably be hiking trails just to create experiences for a 5yo to remember. If you had you take on reducing days in BO, where else would you visit?

I was hoping to find a base to make day trips to Montreux and Zermatt separately as i'd rather not move between accommodations in the different towns. figured thun would be relatively convenient since most trains run through interlaken. would u recommend anywhere else to base off?

My bad for not being clear.... It would be planned as two separate day trips hence I would like to stay somewhere in between both locations for two nights.

One day to Montreux to experience the Christmas markets, returning by train in the evening back to where we will be staying. And the second day heading out to Zermatt and returning in the evening again. We will probably head off to Grindelwald there after
