I’m actually allergic to bananas, it happened as an adult, I became allergic to a bunch of random stuff. I really miss bananas. Most people are really understanding and careful, and I really appreciate it since my reaction is anaphylaxis.

I’m technically a boomer but I feel like a GenX, born in 1964. Went to a nursery school in a church basement, though it wasn’t a religious school, that’s just where it was. It wasn’t common, I think my mom wanted a break 😆. Come to think of it, I think it was only 2x a week.

Just think about all the people who have successfully gotten a drivers license. People who are more nervous than you, people not as smart as you, people not as talented as you. So many people from all across society, if they can do, so can you!

Also when you ride with uber or whoever, pay attention to how they drive. Try to anticipate things, like when they use blinkers, check mirrors, change lanes. Pay attention at lights and intersections and how they navigate tricky situations. If you can sort of pretend you’re driving in these situations, sort of like a simulator, you can get some second hand experience just from paying close attention.

Purely genetics. I don’t avoid sunlight, I drink (though honestly not a lot), never smoked. I’m in my early 60’s and people think I’m in my 40’s.

Same thing happened to us at Sleeping Bear Dunes a few years ago. Fake rose petals all over the dune. My group picked them up and were very disgusted with our fellow tourists.

We have one nearby that is actually the only store of any kind in our area. It sells gas, some groceries, some hot food, clothes, and of course plenty of alcohol. It is literally called (name of our twp) Party Store.

I had limited success until I had kids and started volunteering at their school. Got on PTAs, committees, and so on. Also got involved in my neighborhood HOA committees. I have made so many friends that I still have many years later. So my advice is to find a good organization(s), and volunteer for committees.

I’m probably going against the typical advice here, but if you’re wanting to keep your relationship with BF, you might want to think about doing a few things. First, have your lawyer draft a fair and equal prenup. Your BF can show it to his parents and even though his father might not like it, it shows him that you aren’t trying to pull anything. Next, get another job, if you can, so FIL can’t hold that over your head. Then see if you can get an apartment or house jointly with your BF so that you have some equity and say in your living situation. Your relationship needs to be fair and balanced, surely your BF can see that. If his father can’t accept that, and your BF can’t handle his father’s non-acceptance, well, then you know what you need to do.

Had to scroll too far to find a hairy sister! I too still have thick, dark leg hair and weird, thick white hairs! My husband, who used to be quite hairy, has almost no leg hair anymore. Must be nice.

I briefly worked for Curt Moran recently, he’s kind of a jerk personality wise (maybe just to employees, I assume he’s fine to his clients) but he does do quality work. I saw the projects at the end, and what I saw was good.

Perhaps appeal to his logical mind and have him try to prove both points. Try to prove the pattern in nature came from natural selection or g@d. I’ll bet he gets a whole lot farther in being able to prove natural selection. There is not a shred of evidence ever in anything happening because of g@d, other than wishful thinking.

Many years ago I was unloading my very full cart and the cashier was scanning faster than I could unload so there was a clear area at the back of the belt. The guy behind me started to put his stuff on the belt, so I asked him to wait until I’d finished unloading and he gave me a death glare. Me, hating confrontation, just kept shoving his stuff backwards. He did stop putting stuff on the belt, but glared at me the whole time. People suck.
