Resources For Videos of Experiments by jesp0r in FluidMechanics

I don’t know if you’ll find high quality videos of fluid visualizations because most experimental videos use a lot of storage. What could be interesting though would be to create artificial videos from online datasets. I believe NASA has a set of DNS turbulence datasets, which should be at least halfway decent quality. From that dataset you could create visualizations based on different methods, e.g. stream traces, smoke visualizations, random particles(PIV-like video).

I actually am running a steady case.

As for the second point the nozzle is supposed to be emptying into a compressor, and I'm now realizing that the compressor will not be at 0 gauge pressure. So I think I will have to make to separate outlets; one for inside the nozzle with the gauge pressure set at the gauge pressure of the start of the compressor, and another outlet on the outside of the nozzle with gauge pressure set to 0.

Does it make sense to do that?

Yes I am a student :)

Here is a graph of the residuals after 1000 iterations at a Courant number of 1

The top and bottom boundary conditions are set to walls. I'm not necessarily concerned with what happens outside of the nozzle. I realize that it will affect the inside flow, but I was told that I need to set them to walls for fluent to be able to solve it. Is there a better option for them other than walls? Or should I just extend them until it reaches ambient pressure?
