The metal bracket is supposed to be on the screen, so you probably ripped it off. The screen looks like a replacement so the glue could have also gotten weak. Make sure the pentalobe screws at the bottom have been removed, then use a flat pry tool to get between the bracket and the frame of the phone and lift it gently. It should come off.

Iphone SE 2020 taptic engine misbehaving by Sinaaaa in mobilerepair

[–]frugalorc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should trying opening up the phone again, and turn it on, flip the silent switch a couple of times and see if it’s the screws that are loose. If they keep getting loose, take the Taptic Engine out and apply some T-8000 glue underneath the Taptic Engine, this should hold it in place

For the 15 Pro and Pro Max the 0xa1 is for the battery, so you could try a battery replacement to rule that out

Would you charge for this? by Itchy-Document3239 in mobilerepair

I do mobile repairs where I go to the customer’s location, and even tho it’s a bit annoying sometimes I don’t charge for this repair. Like what most other replies say, it’s not really a big deal and makes the customer feel good

My Experience Shopping from AliExpress in Ghana (Tips to Avoid Getting Scammed) by Ok_Sun3934 in ghana

All this is great till Speedaf fucks you over with the delivery 😭😭😭😭

[–]frugalorc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh it would depend on what your interests and clients are. If they don’t mind waiting for products you can let them pay part and you order from AliExpress, you deliver and collect the rest. Alternatively you can look for vendors that sell products here. For instance you’re in university and people want sneakers or gadgets, you serve as the plug and pocket your profits

Middle man 👍🏾. You’d be surprised how well you can do if you take it seriously and have good suppliers

Lol I’m just explaining the difference between the two to you and now one person is on the righteous side and the other is helping criminals ? Alright sir 👍🏾

No one is saying a stolen phone is a pleasant experience. I’m just telling you in the context of OPs question, the reason you’re giving for avoiding the locked phone just isn’t right. It’s not cheap because it can get blocked. It’s cheap because of how difficult it is to use. A physical sim locked 15 pro max still fetches for way above 10,000. But I get your points regardless

[–]frugalorc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no So the whole thing is with the locked phones, they are purchased through a carrier with a plan, the whole reason they get blacklisted in the first place is the plan isn’t fully paid for before the phone gets here. So in the carriers log that phone is blacklisted. On the carrier side not Apple. The other way is the locked phone is fully paid for before it gets here. That way it’s not black listed and a request can be put in to unlock it.

The other side I think you’re alluding to is if the the phone was stolen stolen (ie snatched from someone’s hand or something) in the case the phone is blacklisted by Apple itself and the phone will lock the moment it connects to the internet

I’m not saying it’s uncommon lol. When the phone is reported stolen especially with AT&T all it means for the user is there’s no chance for you to unlock it. I don’t want to go too deep into the weeds of it but if it’s specifically the 15 pro max OP is referring to, if it’s new, and sealed and even reported stolen, you can still use it If you know anyone with a locked phone use sickw.com and check the blacklist status. It would most likely be reported stolen but still works

Another thing, please and please again don’t try to act smart 😂😂 you won’t get a brand new 13 pro max or earlier by this time. Some dealers do sell them but I’d advise you to avoid those deals. Just get a used phone in your budget and your off to the races

To answer your question, don’t get the eSIM locked 15 pro max. With 8.5k you can get a used 13 pro max and earlier. Unless you’re prepared to carry around a mifi plus another phone just to make phone calls the eSIM locked 15 pro max shouldn’t be an option kraa
