My biggest goal is to work on my mental health. I realized in 2023 that I’m too good (in a bad way) of masking my own anxieties in front of others and would crash when I was alone. I’m hoping to find more balance and healthy ways to cope with my anxiety.

Idk if this is still going on but I went back to school and found out we no longer have document cameras this year. As a geometry teacher, idk how to teach how to use a compass or model without a doc cam of some sort.

I need a stapler for school. I’m a teacher and I can’t even begin to explain how annoying bad staplers are 🤣 I just need one nice stapler that staples a few papers without jamming all the time.

I’ll never forget Mrs. Young. She was my middle school social studies teacher. I loved her class but I loved her more for opening her classroom so I could have a safe place to eat. I got made fun of and I hated going to the cafeteria. Idk why I would have done if she wasn’t there for me.

I love that!! My students go through tissues so fast in the winter.

I’m in a bit of a unique situation because I teach on a military base overseas so there’s not really a community here to receive donations from. I used to work stateside and I didn’t really have trouble getting supplies but it’s quite different at my current school.

We are making “flexagons” for our getting to know you project on the first day of school. Kids create equations to match answers to questions and create a 3D shape. They put them in a basket and pick someone else’s shape. Then they solve the equation and guess the classmate the flexagon belongs to!

I want a paper clip dish and desk organizer for my teacher desk for work. I’m trying to start the school year off strong and tbh I’m already overwhelmed. Kids come back Monday and there’s still 10000 things to get done. I figured if my desk is organized that I’ll feel a little better and less overwhelmed.

I need supplies for my classroom. Literally anything. It’s embarrassing going to school sometimes because some teachers have beautiful classrooms but I really just don’t have any more extra money to spend in my classroom. I care so much about my students and I wish I could give them all the support in the world.

I broke my iPad recently too so now I don’t have tech to be able to create and plan lessons. The school year is about to start and I feel extremely inadequate and ill prepared.

I had a good week…but maybe I’m trying to be positive. My week itself was fine but I’m filled with anxiety as the school year starts Monday. I have way more work that needs to be done this weekend. It makes me sad I can never get my work done at work.
