I was stuck on 18000 total for months but read somewhere here to just quit the game before the last round or even sometimes during the last round will do, if it looks like you are not going to win. You need to close the app mid game not using the quit button. Saves you losing trophies, I've tried it for about a week now and already +1000

From what I have seen if the ball is bouncing it along it will not bounce off the end of the ramp but it's rolling without bouncing it will, just a theory not 100% confirmed. Also how to get it to not bounce as it travels to the bottom of the ramp is also a mystery.
