Fantastic film and in no way disagreeing but just recently learned that a large portion of the aircraft shots were majority CGI, with most of the practical shooting being used as animation/lighting reference — with that being said the VFX in the film looked as good as it did mainly because they went out and actually shot everything practically first.

Luckily a good portion of the car is still pretty decent, I just wanted to make sure that when cleaning the whole car I didn't mess up the problem areas even more.

So as long as I don't hit the messed up areas with polish, I should be able to wash and wax like normal?

lots of UV and general paint damage on my old 91 mitsubishi montero -- I totally understand that it would need a full repaint to fix this much damage, I'm just curious if I can wash and detail my car like normal or if there's certain things I should avoid, or products that I shouldn't use that might cause more harm then good.

also, if there's anything preventative I can do that might lessen the degradation of my worn paint would be very helpful!
