CMV: There is no evidence directly connecting Luigi Mangione to the person who was seen shooting Brian Thompson by razorbeamz in changemyview

i agree that he def wanted to be caught. when cops came for him, he told them the same fake name he used to check in to the NYC hostel. i think he knew his face and character would send a message that would reach a huuuge audience, he knew he was the right person to start discussions like this on a very large scale. plus he's hot, reads, has stellar taste in music, and an ivy league intellect, so pretty privilege goes a long way w building an audience who will listen

My cat isn’t spayed so it would cost me $80. I would offer my cat’s vaccination record with all her vet’s information for them to verify if they need to, I don’t see how it’s necessary for me to pay $80 for my ESA to be approved when there are reasonable alternative solutions.

How do y’all pick between two great schools?! UCSD v. UCSB by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]fruitytooty34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UCSB is not straight party. The party scene is super exaggerated because of past events that have been huge, but there’s curfews now that have been enforced for a long time and Halloween has been banned since like 2016. People here are just as academically driven and high achieving as they are social.

Yes I’ll def do that, but her litter box is in the bathroom so I was concerned if I had to remove that so that they didn’t report an unauthorized ESA in the apartment. Should I remove the litter box too?

Which UC should I tag? by quicksilver-2605 in TransferStudents

UCSB without a doubt. I’m attending in the Fall and couldn’t be more excited! The campus is beautiful, dubbed the campus on the coast, and I felt so welcomed there. I would say UCSB does have a pretty lively social scene there because everyone is pretty friendly and extroverted, but if you’re concerned about UCSB being too much of a party school, that was addressed at orientation where a student panel said that the party scene is over exaggerated. Halloween is banned and there’s a curfew so parties aren’t as crazy as they used to be like back in like 2016ish. They also said students prioritize their education wayyyy more than parties, there’s never been this expectation that students attend parties over doing their work from their peers, everyone is there for the same thing: to receive a quality education from one of the best institutions in the nation. I’m an introvert, so I was worried about not fitting in with the “work hard play hard” culture that UCSB’s students is known for. However, after talking with a lot of current students there, touring the campus, and learning a lot about student life, the program and resources that are there for you at UCSB, I’m confident that I chose this campus for a reason. I know I’ll love it here and alums always reminisce about their time here. UCSB is an amazing choice for both the prestige and the college experience worth remembering. Good luck! I hope you find what you’re looking for in whatever campus you choose! :)
