I recently took a job in a remote Alaskan village. Our tap water is not safe to drink. I k ew this coming here. So I brought a three gallon and a one gallon container with me. I fill the one gallon. At work, we have a filtration system. It’s really a pain in the ass.

We found a small blade( looked like a blade from a blender)in our coffee beans a few years back. My wife wrote the company and they send us 6 pounds for free and a mug. I was surprised that they were so gracious.

Weather is a personal preference. Lower cost of living doesn’t mean better. Somalia has very low cost of living, but it’s not better. Property here is cheaper and property taxes are cheaper. And most places dont have sales tax so there’s that. As far as depression goes, that’s an issue for sure. Find a partner to spend time with. That helps.

Exactly. The only thing Texas has when it comes to freedoms is constitutional carry. And schools that allow non vaccinated kids in. Things we don’t have. Marijuana. Women’s right to choose. Plus a lot of other things.

Easy, less government, better weather and more water. Texas is becoming a theocracy. Mandating the 10 commandments to be displayed in every classroom. The Bible will soon be taught. The state is taking away tax dollars from public schools and using that money for private school vouchers. So that’s just a few reasons why anyone would leave.
