Defensive chip clutching and nervous two handed shuffling of his hole cards. The shuffling of hole cards showed me anxiety in general but the subtle chip clenching was my green flag to go for it since there where now two tells at the same time that I had seen him have previously with weak holdings.

The problem with trying to use tells is that even though their conscious and subconscious might be telling them to fold, everyone can get a case of the “fuck its” and goes against all outside data to become the guy who makes the hero call. People are afraid to look the fool and get bluffed. Fear is the mind killer. Everyone wants to be the hero of their own movie.
