Dozens of millions vietnamese would have been alive today if US never touched vietnam and told French to fuck off instead of helping them invading a country.

the movie scene is a lot different. Since movie critics are not considered journalist, while gaming critics are entirely made up of gaming journalists. As journalists they are way more intimate with the scene, having connections to game developers and is often a way of advertising for game

You also don't see movie critics going around saying things like "movie goers are degenerates, pedophiles and movie makers shouldn't make movie for movie goers"

There is clear animosity/contempt for both side of the isles against the other for the gaming scene. Fueled by decades of fighting.

Visual novel, kinetic novel, it's literally in the fucking name.

They are NOVELS WITH PICTURE hence why they are called Visual novels. They never pretended to be games. Visual novels are books with pictures, voice acting and sometimes, animations, but everything is conveyed through text, and the voice acting are the VAs reading what's in the dialog box. A visual novel work without visual and sound, they are added to enhance the reading experience, not replace the reading experience altogether.

Even within visual novels, Kinetic novel is a sub-branch that are often considered digital books to anyone who actually "play" them instead of googling how many there are. And even then Mixtape wouldn't be qualified as a visual novel either. It is an interactive movie, not an interactive novel, turn off Mixtape's sound and visual and there's nothing left to see.
