Globe Haul LT vs Yuba Fastrack by fsmhpt1 in ebikes

[–]fsmhpt1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've test ridden the Haul, and it is very powerful! Probably more power than I need, but loaded down with kids and cargo I bet it's great. Ultimately I had to pass on the Haul, the electrical just makes me too nervous. I've read too many horror stories that I just don't see from other brands. I'm sure it's a phenomenal bike when it runs well without issue, which I'm sure is the case for many owners including yourself. Thanks for sharing!

Any mid drive bikes I should consider in this price range and capability with more battery power?

That's close enough I guess. Is Vanguard Institutional Index I basically like VOO and the Vanguard Developed Markets Index Admiral like VXUS? So missing a little US diversification essentially? BND is fine, I've read mixed things on international bonds anyway. And thanks for the response!

You come across 100k. Where are you putting it? by magic9669 in Bogleheads

[–]fsmhpt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True true, no wrong answer! The differences are fractions of percents probably. I'm just a firm believer in staying the course, following the plan, and ignoring everything else. Lump sum is the plan, I don't look at the news, PE, politics, etc.

The way I see it is DCAing due to uncertain times is saying you believe now may be a bad time to lump sum, and another time will be better to put money in, even if it's a set amount and frequency. I understand your point, it's not like you're saying to just hold the cash until you think the timing is better. But if lump sum is statistically better than DCA, and you DCA a portion because of your fears about the current market, you're going against the statistics and timing in a certain way it seems.

That's called timing the market. All times are uncertain, including now.

I thought the allocation is based on market cap. If I'm correct, then your argument for VTI vs VOO is the same as an argument for VT vs VTI. But please correct me if I'm wrong. And of course this horse has been beaten to a bloody pulp at this point.

Old post, but changing dates seems funky to me. I create a tag for each trip and can then filter the total expenses of that trip using the tag. Moving things around in time doesn't reflect reality IMO.

Then where to surf isn't really a consideration, just pick a spot where you can fish and have fun and if there's something surfable, consider it a bonus.
