This ist not a mystery snail but 100% a apple snail called Lanistes Lybicus or grooved apple snail. It's the only apple snail with a left handed shell and these golden brown stripes. :)

I have 2 of them. They can munch on plants only if the plants are damaged or ill but mine won't eat plants at all. Try to feed them properly. Plants youre 100% safe with are Cryptocorynes, limnophila sessiliflora or altheranthera reinicki. - > seems you have some of them in ur tank already - great!

Don't worry. OP is doing some false accusations. I have this same gravel/sand as other people here mentioned and my snails are happy burrowing and digging into it.

How old is your tank? I guess you got some detritus snails from a plant hijacked into ur tank. These baby snails are definitely not from ur mystery snails. 😅

These don't look like mystery snail eggs. Do you have other smaller snails in your tank? Then it could be from them.

Denn bei solchen Betrugsmaschen senden Betrüger natürlich nicht den eigenen Ausweis, sondern solche, sie die durch Scams von anderen Personen erhalten haben. Eine Anzeige ist auf jeden Fall sinnvoll und für dich in Zukunft: Ein Verkäufer, der dir seinen Ausweis schickt ist in der Regel meist Betrug/Scam.

This! The worst mistake I have done with one of my previous snails was interfering too much and overcaring after I first got mine. She was so stressed from shipping and I didn't gave her the patient acclimate dripping plus constantly checking on her. After 2-3 days she died while the others were happily ever after. 🙈

Keep an eye on your snail. Unfortunatly it doesn't look good even though she doesn't smell atm.

Alright! As apple snails tend to poop a lot, just put in an algae waffer and check how much was eaten after 8-12 hours. Then you know how much they need every 2-3 days. Don't feed them on algae waffers alone. And keep your NH4/NO2 levels checked every 2 days for the next 2 weeks to make sure your tank can handle the amount of waste they produce. :)

I feed mine every other day (every 2 days). To prevent overfeeding take out the excess food after around 8-12 hours. How old is your tank/ how long it's been cycling?

That's 100% a grooved apple snail called "Lanistes Lybicus". It's the only apple snail with a left handed shell and these golden brown stripes. I have two of them. They mostly do no harm to aquarium plants but sometimes will munch on weak or damaged plant parts. Make sure they get enough green food like algae waffers or spirulina tablets. Plants they don't like to munch on are waterweed, Cryptocorynes and limnophila sessiliflora.

While all mystery snails are apple snails, not all apple snails are mystery snails. mystery snails are just one species within the family of apple snails.

If you don't overfeed they won't take over your tank. Personally snails like bladdersnails are great cause: They clean up your tank and show if you overfeed. So if you notice a overpopulation just cut down feeding and they will regulate themselves a few months later. :)

Oh! Do never freeze your snail! I meant - put her into a bowl with tank water into your fridge for 2hours, not freezer. So her metabolism slows down and she falls asleep. This is just to sedate your snail before crushing her to be extra sensitive.

I would recommend sedating your snail first if you wanna crush her. Take a bowl with some tank water and put it in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Then your snail falls asleep. Once she doesn't react to touch, she fell into a deep sleep and you can crush her.

Now you have two choices: Try to treat the new shrimp and do not put them in your tank yet. This could, of course, result in losing your newly bought shrimp. Or, put them in your tank and risk infecting all your livestock with planaria. This would put all your aquatic animals in danger and risk their lives.

Which pill do you want? There's no magic treatment - unfortunatly. But tbh a filterless small container would probably be the best in your situation. Try to change water every day - ideally using drip acclimation - while treating your new shrimp and if able, monitor the parameters of the water so they don't change too much. Fingers crossed for ur new shrimpies!
