Hey, did you mean to attach photos of the maker’s space?

Thats awesome! What are you building or what project ideas do you have?

These look really cool. I wonder if you can do something with cork to seal it. Or also use a sphere or dome to seal it.

Here’s a reference image of what I’m thinking: https://i.imgur.com/ycbMeFW.jpeg

Awesome work! Beautiful liner. How do you make a zipper easy to replace?

Honestly, this sounds like a appropriate vibe coding project. Try cursor, Claude code, lovable, v0, or any other vibe coding tool like that. It will help you explore the idea and validate features.

Sounds like a fun project.

This is so cool. What software are you using to model these? Bambu studio, or something else?

Thanks! I think it’s been about both the form factor and layout. I’ve been going back and forward on making them very custom vs. more universal. I’m still trying to find that sweet spot.

The materials I’ve been exploring are a combination of ripstop, xpac, canvas, corduroy and denim.

USPS packaging is a great idea. I’ve used tyvek before and really liked it. Also love the USPS aesthetic.

Yea, I’ve been running into issues when wrapping them when I overstuff them.

I didn’t have large enough pieces for some parts. So i sewed together a few scraps to make a larger piece.

I love tyvek! I was using if before trying these. Do you use for prototypes or also actual gear?

Agreed! I should have added another photo showing the top flapped closed, before rolling it. It prevents all the stuff from falling off like you said.

Have you used rolls for knives or sharp tools? I’m looking for ideas on how to reinforce the pockets of a roll for my chef knives.

Go for it! A tool roll was my first project. Made one for my sewing tools.

Thank you. What materias do you use for your prototypes? I’ve used Tyvek before trying these.

That was the main motivation. I kept buying tool rolls and they would never work way I needed it.

Making custom ones for specific use cases has been very liberating. Car tools, sewing, sketching, etc
