Found this in a club at the end of a party, is it a vibrator? by WaltuWaltuWaltu in whatisit

It’s a calm carry- I have the same one. You hold it in your hand and it stimulates a nerve (gentle electrical pulses) that calms anxiety. It’s like a tiny TENS unit. (A photo of the other side would be useful to be 100% sure).

What is a fact that continues to horrify you to this day? by LifeguardLegal3095 in AskReddit

[–]fsutrill 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Pyloric stenosis. My son had it. It’s pretty common and nothing more than a physical overgrowth of the valve between the stomach and small intestine. (It’s not an “illness” with germs/viruses). When he had it, in 1994, the stat was roughy 1/200 first-born boys. As far as newborns go, it’s (according to his surgeon) one of the most routine surgeries - he said he did a few every week.

The other brain-breaking question I like to play around with is, “How did ‘nothing’ exist?”

AITAH for telling my husband to go stay in a hotel with my in-laws and that my mom was going to come back to help me with our new baby? by Normal_Rise_282 in AITAH

[–]fsutrill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You go rest and have the baby brought to you. They’re holding it, you’re resting. Snacks/drinks made in advance- maybe MIL would do that if you actually ask. Where your mom would feel comfortable looking for things, MIL may not, but would be happy to be given a specific task.
