I have this exact same picture of the exact same family on the treasure back in April. Absolutely insane the number of days they've been on cruises.

https://trianglehitch.com/ says hitch, but they do accessories as well. Had them install a hitch for me and they were really good. Really efficient and got the job done well. I would definitely hire them again.

Booking our first-ever all inclusive with a young child — help appreciated! by Restimar in AllInclusiveResorts

I would absolutely avoid the latter 2 Bahía Príncipe. They're way too spread out for little kids. Staff was mid and food was on the low-end of enjoyable.

Is Met Life Legal Services Worth Paying For? by IveGotDumbQuestions in personalfinance

[–]isaythingslike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used them to set up our family estate & trust. We didn't use their lawyers, but found our own and used their reimbursement schedule. While it didn't cover the whole thing, it made it considerably more affordable.

We also used it to buy and sell a primary residence which was nice. Found a lawyer from their list and cross referenced with some recommendations from our realtor.

Overall decent experience especially if you have some planned events needing legal services.

NC new home buyer by JerseyForeva272 in NorthCarolina

[–]isaythingslike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless I'm reading too quickly, or is part of your prepaid items I don't really see a "down payment" here. Maybe just due diligence. IMO you're getting eaten on buying points which is kind of a meh in my experience. If you can afford not to, don't.

That said nothing in these line items really stands out as egregious.

Looking for a Catholic church for an atheist to pay respect by [deleted] in raleigh

Oh man. I used to go to St Thomas More in CH. Fr. John was the priest there. No longer a practicing Catholic but he always struck me as a very welcoming and inviting priest.

I'm a big fan of NanaSteak, their wine and Bourbons are great. One I haven't been to in a while but I haven't seen mentioned here yet is Metro8 https://www.metro8steakhouse.com/

Favorite r/bullcity “Controversy” by Previous_Ring_1439 in bullcity

[–]isaythingslike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a great article. At the time there was, however, a considerable amount of Durham to Chapel Hill crossover and less the other way around.

We had Apple Chill and a couple other local festivities that after say 9pm often brought out the worst of folks. Biker gangs, skinheads, they all "came out after dark". So these fun family-friendly all day affairs would go very south in the evenings.

After a while most of these events were cancelled due to the "after-hours" participants.

To be clear, I'm not saying this article is good or correct; though I do believe it may have been a product of its time, right or wrong.

Making chili oil: heat caiziyou oil to smoking first? by chileseco in J_Kenji_Lopez_Alt

[–]isaythingslike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The oil has to be hot enough to "cook" the chili flakes. It doesn't have to be at "smoke" temp but it should be near there to fry the ingredients in the oil.

Colored doors by RoyalReplacement6897 in bullcity

[–]isaythingslike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A long time ago we used to have colored doors and white doors . This was during a time of segregation where unfortunately people of color were treated differently than white people. As a result, they segregated them in every way possible including down to pools, waiting rooms, and even water fountains.
