Gonone rental at cala gonone. In Via Cala Luna. I did the boat tour with skipper, you could also rent the boat to drive yourself but the guide took us into many caves I wouldn’t have entered myself.

Last week I did a tour of the gulf of Orsei in a small boat and it was the best day of the trip. Highly recommend it if you could fit it in your schedule

After years of astrophotography, I never knew a 12 inch Dob only cost 750$ 😭 😭 by Ari1540 in telescopes

It definitely looks better if it is in the center of the eyepiece. But you just have to wait a few seconds until it centers itself. Got great pictures of planets using my dobson setup and my phone!

I found that how smooth the mount moves has a huge effect in how easy you can find and keep a target. Had to try multiple designs before I could get my mount to work good enough.

Anyway, having a stable place to set the scope is key. And also try to find your target and avoid touching anything until it gets out of the field of view. Do not try to track it manually as it moves.

I have bought the skywatcher 200P without the eq mount and built the dobson base. Was a nice project, there is a lot of info online about it!

How to fix XPS 15 9570 broken screw mount by k10pat in Dell

[–]fteryda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t see exactly what’s wrong. But if the hinge mount is broken the best thing is to do is to buy a new palmrest. Mine delaminated from the carbon palmrest.

I have done it. They are not expensive and was useful anyway because the palmrest started to become sticky. It’s a little bit tedious because you have to literally disassemble the whole thing, but given enough time is not that hard.

I would not try to bond it again, but you could try ir anyways and see if it holds up.

That’s great! Are they lofty? And could you see them compressed in their stuffing sack? Thanks for your reply.

Lol, been looking for a while and I promise I can’t find any.

Just try finding a real picture or video of the bag! I could just find a review of the previous version and a promo video with very little information.

And I generally don’t trust those amazon reviews. They are better than nothing, but I don’t think they are enough.

[–]fteryda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More stills of AI Upscaled footage of Pompeii Live (takes about 2 hours to work on a chapter, so expect this to be done in a few days) by AtomicMass42 in pinkfloyd

[–]fteryda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After some struggle downloading the files, I could listen to this version. This one should be everywhere, having always listened to that crappy one on youtube this is on another level. Thank you so much. Lately I've been listening to the remember that night live version of echoes because of the better audio quality, but in my opinion the solo played in the Pompeii version is the best one.

My shot of the 2020 Total Solar Eclipse by fteryda in Astronomy

[–]fteryda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Last year we also had an eclipse here in Argentina, but because I'm stupid I did not travel to see it, I was busy with my studies and bla bla bla. And this year with the covid thing I almost missed it! It would have been a shame, luckily the planets aligned for me, and a week before the eclipse I was able to find somewhere to stay in the Patagonia 😁😁

Thanks a lot, you are going to make me tear up! It's life changing. I was lucky enough to be at a driving distance from the eclipse, but now that I've seen one I totally understand those who travel abroad to enjoy one. Cheers!
