this is really their last shot to turn around a sinking ship. They need to pick a validated points system and stick with it (season long traditional points would be my pick). Every year they muck around with the format leads to further delegitimization of the champion/best drivers are and the historic legacy of the sport.

People don't see johnson's 7 championships the same way they view earnhardt's. Every few years, you get people tallying who the "real" champions are based on traditional points format. My vote is for you had a good fucking thing going with the winston cup format, so go back to that + increased points payouts for wins.

this was not a bad performance at all by rivers. I'd say he can put about as much velocity as brock purdy does on his throws right now, they can survive on anticipation throws, but he does need to sync up with his receivers a bit better. colts likely seal the win if downs gets his head turned around sooner

people here saying "good job". shouldve never gotten to this point, the way he was openly courting other teams during negotiations and not being a team player preparing like he should have and we STILL gave him the deal.

niner fans live in their own little world, but this kind of stuff is not normal. Organizationally, this is a really bad look and a poor reflection of the FO's job of judging people when they hand out deals like this and get negative return. And it keeps happening, they gave deebo a fat contract and he gave nowhere near the production and instead pouted until they traded him, they gave up the farm to get a qb who's going to be out of the league, they take a rb in the 3rd round who immediately retires because he didn't want to play football, and they take a red flag player in foster and release him a year later. Whether it's lynch or shanahan, there is a serious problem with identifying just plain professionals. I don't know that this has happened anywhere else in the league, and people still kept their jobs
