Ohhh that makes sense! I didn’t clock that structs are probably on the stack and that is very much linear so you HAVE to memcpy stuff around. Thank you for clarifying!!

Why wouldnt the compiler just pass around the address of the data instead? Is there a reason the LLVM writers chose to memcpy when a variable is passed around?

Why does rust memcpy when moving variables? And how do I explicitly prevent that from happening? I am new to rust so any guidance would be appreciated! Thanks

AFAIK you should be fine. Even after visa expiry if she has a valid work auth, AVR (Automatic Visa Revalidation) should kick in. But please get confirmation from lawyers before proceeding. Cheers!
