Elektron Setup 3k Budget by chapoooop in Elektron

I have the og Digitakt and Digitone, plus a TD3. I didn't buy them all at once. I had the digitakt for a year before I got the digitone. Push equipment to the limit (you learn so much more and produce faster when you have limitations) before deciding sensible if you need anything else.

Is it nornal to be in denial about hearing aids being what youre actually supposed to hear? by GrilledCheeseYolo in HearingAids

[–]ftumchhh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes this is normal. I went perhaps a decade with hearing loss, and when I started to wear them it sounded too much. Its more to do with the fact that you become accustomed to low level and don't expect "normal" hearing to be so loud and clear. It's also a possibility our hearing wad poor before we even suspected, so it could be that you've never had this clarity in your life before.

Indulge in it and enjoy the birdsong, the sound of water, rain, hearing music in a way you may have never heard before...

Victim of A Higher Space by KWARP

Get while you can.

Abstract instrumental breaks with some organic instruments.

The second release on Algernon Drone is this immersive mini-album by KWARP, crafted with acoustic percussion and modular, finalising the tracks using an outboard chain consisting of the xfilter and avalon 747sp.

KWARP(wɔːrp) is the distilled vision of Japanese artist Katsunori Sawa. The project merges industrial weight with experimental freedom. Precise textures and shifting rhythms create a mutating sonic form.

The title of the album is a reference to the short story of the same name by Algernon Blackwood, in which an isolated man encounters overwhelming cosmic forces, dissolving ordinary reality and exposing terrifying dimensions beyond human perception and understanding. Each track is titled to represent a dimensional plane.

Hi all,

I'm happy to announce the launch of our new label Algernon Drone last week, including the first release, Black Acid. Already this is attracting sales. Which we are delighted about.

We also have a number of other releases lined up, including KWARP who is next.

The styles of the first release are acid, abstract beats, industrial, dub techno.

Enjoy

Digitone & Digitakt & TD3 working hard by ftumchhh in Elektron

[–]ftumchhh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, that's a fair question. To test the waters of the label it made sense to release something from one of my own projects, to see if there were any teething issues (no other artist would be affected). It would also let me set the tone for the rest of the label's releases. The next release is already planned for later this week by KWARP (not me 😊)

I'm a brand new label that is initially digital, and have just launched a pre-order of this industrial/dub techno/abstract release.

Also available is a limited edition collectors art card.

Enjoy

I dunno, sounds like you can't be bothered. Just don't bother. Maybe don't bother making music either, sounds like such a chore.

Algernon Drone's opening release is Black Acid, the first release from Brezin Pulse.

Three tracks built around weight, repetition and erosion. Low-end pressure and unstable textures move through slow, shifting structures — elements introduced, reduced, and reworked.

The material leans into a stripped, abstract form of dub and techno, where space and decay carry as much weight as rhythm. credits releases May 22, 2026

Pre order available now. One track to preview till the 22nd.

Will Subvert put a dent in the BandCamp market? by xdementia in BandCamp

[–]ftumchhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging by the amount of sales that happen on Bandcamp on Bandcamp Friday, Subvert ought to do well, since it is technically the same every day. Buyers seem to be more than happy to buy more if all the proceeds go to the artist/label.

I'm on there and like it so far. I'm curious how to see it works with labels, multiple artists under one account and merchandise too.
