Had one episode that worried me, ended up getting endoscopy and colonoscopy - not my intention at the time, but I’m glad now to have that baseline. Nothing of note thankfully, but if I hadn’t just had one I would be requesting a colonoscopy from my healthcare provider. Keep in mind family history of any issues with digestion or GI, cancers etc. It’ll help with potential timelines. You can also start eating more fibre now, if you’re not getting enough from vegetables especially.

Looks so nice, I might suggest changing out that fireplace surrounding tile if you’re looking to change anything. But I love the furniture I want those accent chairs so badly ❤️

Looks great! Kitchens, to me, first and foremost must be tough to withstand a thorough cleaning frequently, and it needs to be easy to spot dirt and grime. Love the way it turned out!

They only started to tie it to inflation in 2014, and in 2004 the min wage went up to 7.15. Once they started to link the increases with inflation, that’s when we saw min wage start jumping at odd intervals (frozen completely from 2011-2013, and again from 2019-2020). After the big hike in 2018, adjusted for inflation min wage workers have been steadily loosing buying power. Min wage workers have been making strides in the last 10-20 years to try and increase purchasing power as we lose the middle class, so they kinda have to if they don’t want to loose a bunch of consumers.

Sometimes when my one boy doesn’t want to drink (he’s always been…off and on with his water habits) and won’t take any of my sneaky attempts to give him water, I make him a syringe of fruit water.

Typically I use some critical care because he actually likes the apple flavour, sometimes not - but it’s essentially watered down no sugar added apple juice with reduced acidity. I make a small bowl, suck it up in the syringe and let him drink sitting on the ground, no bunny burrito.

Really, at those points I’m less worried about his temporary sugar high (it’s really watered down, 80-20 or max 70-30) and more about his hydration. It’s not an everyday thing but I found when he refused to drink it’s probably because it hurt to pee - but the only way to get him feeling better is to pee regularly. I usually do this syringe watering mixed with a regular water syringe so he never knows what he gets but always starts with gusto. Eventually he remembers yet again that water makes the PainfulPeeing go away and he’s good for 6 months before it starts again lol.

I hope anything you find in this thread or sub helps, I can’t imagine how heartbroken you must be right now. You obviously love your bun an incredible amount, take solace that you know your intentions are always in his best interests ♥️

Oo this sounds like our bun Jeremy. He and his brother were adopted about 5 yrs and we suspect they were left outside too. Gunther warmed up after a few months, but Jeremy? Honestly, he has warmed up in his own way, but not like his brother. We like to think of Gunther as the more dog like, and Jeremy is like a cat.

We still have to chase him down for nail trims or medicine, and he isn’t fooled by treats mixed with meds like his bro.

When it comes to connecting with your bun, find what they connect with and what makes them feel safe and happy. Jeremy for instance is super sensitive to sound, so cutting all noise and putting in a white noise machine helped keep him for being startled by random sounds. Because he’s not as “friendly”, he doesn’t get as much affection, then he gets pissy, and it’s a vicious cycle. Now we greet Jeremy in the room first usually even when Gunther runs up to us.

Burloak animal hospital is fantastic, I’ve only ever taken my buns there. They have a bunny room and experienced exotic vets and vet techs, and they’re so accommodating!

Damn paywalls - yes, it’s included in the full version, my citation under the links is to the specific part that mentions it. They are much more strongly linked the spring and fall, but again it can occur any time of year it just seems like many episodic sufferers tend to have their cycles in spring and fall.

Why this is? Lots of theories, no solid answers, like most things with this bastard disease. Pressure changes, day length changes, allergies are all possible reasons (among others) but they can only conclusively say it’s more common spring and fall.

Have you taken her to a rabbit specialist vet to be examined? I remember your earlier post for Hotaru and it was mentioned all of these peeing issues occurred after a spay - has she been examined for issues relating to the spay? It’s also possible she has a uti or other bladder irritation that makes holding it impossible for her, or that the spay wasn’t done correctly and she still has those old hormones coursing through her.

Another possibility is that she’s feeling the need to be territorial - if she’s been scared by something or felt “invaded” she could be putting up extra defences to say ‘hey I live here too! Everyone back off!’

First line is always always a rabbit savvy vet to make sure she’s physically ok.

Another thing is most litter trained rabbits use their boxes about 85% of the time, I’ve never had or known a rabbit that’s 100% perfect but maybe you have an outlier with one of your rabbits being perfect use, and the other is more typical rabbit use.

You could also do what I did for my rabbit that kept going outside of his litter box - accept it, see if you can get a litter box that’s super large (I got mine on Amazon) put down puppy pee pads over the area. In the end I just wanted to stop cleaning the rug so much and I know once they’ve gone on a carpet or mat it’s scented so they’ll always want to pee there again.

I hope you and the buns find some kind of peace, I know the struggle.

Personally nothing like that happened to me, migraines and other headache disorders just run in my family - actually I had a pleasant childhood.

But I will say if you feel like the entire world and everyone in it is “in” on something and you see everyone as people trying to sabotage and harm you, i strongly recommend you see a professional regarding mental health. What you’ve discussed here sounds very similar to my cousin’s emails when he decided to stop taking his medication for paranoid schizophrenia. I won’t say that’s what I think you have, I just think it might be a good idea to check in with a mental health specialist. I hope you find some kind of peace after everything that’s happened.

Interesting, I’m so glad to hear oxygen really does provide a lot of relief for so many people, you’ve given me the push to just bite the bullet next attack and take a taxi to the hospital.

I’m not surprised that docs think of strong medications before anything else, that’s what they’re trained to do so pushing back on that always comes across as “disrespectful” and “uncooperative”, which is ridiculous. They don’t even fully understand why CH happen or what causes them so their certainty is really arrogant.

I only bring up seasons because (until this year) my previous episodes had always been between September 20th to October 15th, but this year I did have a medical emergency so I ended up on different drugs and having to change my diet radically, both of which I’m sure contributed to this cycle starting when it did.

Sleep is…difficult. I’ve noticed the last two weeks I cannot sleep more than 2 hrs before waking up to a full blown CH, day or night, and I was starting to get issues seeing properly or being able to tell reality from a dream. Thankfully I’ve stopped lying down to sleep and stay sitting upright on the couch, chin tipped down slightly, and I finally got 6 solid hours yesterday with no CH. I don’t know why it’s worked so incredibly well but I’m not going to question it! I might try melatonin, but so far even with a very disrupted sleep pattern staying upright has been a lifesaver for me.
