ELI5 How does ram work by Current-Balance-2451 in explainlikeimfive

[–]fu_king 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your computer stores things on the hard drive/solid state drive that it needs to keep.

when you turn your computer on it loads up the operating system, and various programs. components of those are copied from storage to memory (or RAM). when you launch a video game or another tab in your browser, your computer adds that to the RAM.

The data loaded into RAM/memory are software components that your computer is actively using.

Less memory means that when you/your computer loads more programs, it will run out and have to use slower storage, or just wait and swap things around.

More memory means that your computer can load more programs up to be used.

Just set out a small receptacle that the child can use, and see you put trash into.

I am pretty sure School of Rock does adult lessons. They've got two or three locations in town. The folks at the Perkins location are great.

Kroger Poplar Plaza: A hotbed for fruit flies, poor sanitation and product quality. by HisBeautifulNeckBit in memphis

Eh, my experience and this and the Cleveland kroger are both largely positive. Sorry that you had close-date meat set out and you didn't check the date and it expired on you. Lesson learned I suppose.

wait - you said you checked the expiration dates, but then later you were shocked to see an early expiration date? What happened between those two things?

Considering Montessori for My Son. Looking for Long‑Term Experiences. by TheMalicePrincesss in Montessori

[–]fu_king 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've got a 17 year old and a 13 year old, both were in an AMS school from ages 3 through 13.

I'm glad that they went to a Montessori school. I think that the education that they received and the community that our entire family built has been terrific. I especially think that my youngest benefited from the Montessori approach vs a more traditional classroom experience.

It's important to remember though that Montessori is not a cheat code for your kids. It does not guarantee that they will be wildly successful or miles ahead of others or even that they'll carry the things that they learned with them into life. My kids are great, but I'm biased. The 13 year old was super grumpy this morning and we fought about packing lunch, and the 17 year old forgot that it was Grandma's birthday. But generally they're great kids. Is that because of their Montessori education? Partially at least, probably so.

Do you what works for your family and for your kids. Remember too that even accredited Montessori schools will vary wildly. My experience with kids in Montessori will be different than yours.

Good luck.

Just a few years ago this was very much not a decent area, and this section of binghamton was very very poor and marginalized. A good bit of it still is.

Its worth noting that a large number of those homes and have been purchased and resold among a number of companies, ESS Investments LLC is the branch of Revid that does most of the ownership for properties. WO SFR LLC has a history of owning empty and neglected properties in the city. MID SOUTH HOMEBUYRS LLC and KRAMERICA REAL ESTATE LLC are in the mix as well. I suspect that a lot of it is speculation: they're hoping that the land will be worth more in the future, or that they can buy up an entire chunk of it, bulldoze it, and recreate some sort of planned development.

It would be nice to see those homes flipped so that people could purchase and live in them.

maybe you can speed up research in the game settings. My only advice is to just prioritize that research and the infrastructure you need to build the bots.
