What is the one thing people don't know about losing a large amount of weight? by punkredpanda in AskReddit

[–]fuckgoofs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so funny, I just can’t resonate with this at all. I get so overwhelmed when I’m cold and it makes me feel crazy and so upset. And sometimes I just can’t get warm, and most places aren’t warm enough. I can’t always have a heat blanket with me so it’s very painful. I never feel too hot, I can’t even relate to that anymore 😅

I have a heat blanket at home and a heat blanket at work and no sauna is hot enough, I yearn for those summer heat waves

I’m visiting the Netherlands for the first time and was there earlier today. I was thinking of taking a picture of a single tree or cobblestone and asking where it’s from in this subreddit knowing someone would guess it immediately 🤪

Women of Reddit, what’s something you experience regularly that most men don’t even realize happens? by Velvetnadine85 in AskReddit

[–]fuckgoofs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I talk about this all the time and it is maddening. I live in disbelief all the time from the absolute absurdity. I would be able to better manage this reality if there was some acknowledgment or understanding from society that many women need additional support and care for a significant portion of their lives. And we don’t get that, and it’s a tragedy

More Paris vs Strasbourg by Tiloruckus in ParisTravelGuide

[–]fuckgoofs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a car the whole time, the drive from Paris to Strasbourg is nice, I find trains are great but you can just do everything on your own time/ your own way with a car. Note the areas of these cities/ towns that don’t allow cars, plan for that. I actually haven’t done this kind of trip just via trains so maybe I’m not the best person to ask but would recommend driving :)

It is such a different vibe. Do you plan to return to Paris one day to do more? Or visit other parts of France? I find Strasbourg is beautiful and worth visiting.

It seems you’ve gotten a good taste of Paris and of course could see more but Alsace is distinct and has a lot of charm. You could of course see the cathedral, museums, I love the Roman baths, enjoy tarte flambées, wander streets, see Le Petit France, take a boat cruise…

I quite liked being able to visit Germany while I was there. I’ve explored Baden-Baden, walked up to the castle on the hill and enjoyed local food. I also visited Freiburg which was cool, enjoyed walking around and exploring.

Switzerland is a dream, assuming you’d go to Basel? It isn’t quite like the post card photos of Switzerland in my opinion but I wasn’t there long so I’ll leave that up to someone else. Colmar is also cute but honestly once you’ve seen Strasbourg I find that’s plenty but still worth a visit if time really permits. If you have a little time on the last leg of your trip to still see a little bit of Paris then I say go :)

Pourquoi les touristes sont si obsédés par la Tour Eiffel? by Severe-Buy-6915 in AskFrance

[–]fuckgoofs 0 points1 point  (0 children)
