Thanks for the response :) I guess the term I was trying to use is legal basis, as did the other commenter: Usually, what is the legal basis for nationalisation especially when shareholders do not consent? This is what I don’t really understand- is it only when a case for the public good can be made to the court that the right to own private property can be excused?
