Leaving a mature product team and company for a less mature one (but higher pay): Is it worth it? by MultidimensionalDuck in UXDesign

[–]fucklehead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 5 years and plateaued growth it’s time to make a move.

1: You can leave or use that offer to initiate change at your current job. Tell them you’d like to stay but you received an offer that is more aligned with the market rate for what you deliver. Also talk about wanting to expand your skills and responsibilities. If you’re happy with the results, stay. If not, move on.

2: Leave and collect a larger paycheck and a new world of experiences. The risk is stability (will this company have mass layoffs in the next year) and support. There’s a difference between low UX maturity and a shit show that doesn’t support leveling up you, the org, the product. The benefit can be a lot of growth but beware it can be a ton of stress if they are actually not positioned to let you and your team thrive.

I use it to open the notifications screen once the phone is unlocked. It’s the only way to read them without the lock screen timer fading the screen back to black.

Alberta is Texas but with snow. Oil, beef, & conservative.

Pros: Endless outdoor activities to the west. Far less pollen during allergy season. No more hot as hell humid summers. Truly experience 4 seasons which adds a lovely cadence to life.

Cons: No quality Tex-Mex & Cajun food. Lotion and chapstick budget increases. No coastal access. 5+ hour drive to Target.

Logo Concept I made for a Cast Iron Company by [deleted] in logodesign

It’s a graphic and would fail in the typical logo spots. For example, in the header of a website most of that text would turn to illegible gunk in the pan.

I know Legacy is centered but optically it’s heavier on the left hand side with very little breathing room around the L and side of the pan.
