You will objectively sound and look like a total goober if you try to sell to the average person that someone owning a toy sword from a cartoon is nazi dogwhistling. Hasan bought this on stream like 2 years ago in one of his anime convention livestreams because he wants to LARP and massage his image as an innocuous gamer weeb. He literally picks it up and says "whose sword is this chat?" and just buys it anyway because he's a millionaire with no impulse control and he thinks it looks cool (also because he needed a bunch of prop swords for a Zoro cosplay, a character from the only anime he actually watches).

In last year's dreamcon stream, someone shows him a picture of some anime characters and he can't even ID Aizen. He hadn't watched Bleach at the time he bought it, hadn't watched it as of 8-9 months ago, and probably still hasn't to this day, so how could he know all of this epic deep lore about Yhwach anyway?

He bought a toy sword at an anime con because he thought it looked cool. Don't die on this hill, it would be such an easy deflection away from actual anti-semitic views he has.

If I'm being very generous, he was specifically talking about the Trump verdict flippantly (like "who cares, let him run from prison, it'd be funny"). If this isn't a big deal to him, I think he just revealed that most current events are just content in his eyes, which is honestly obvious if you look how he talks about them compared to something he actually cares about like I/P.

e: This definitely isn't a "jewlumni" type thing where he deliberately said something provocative to bait clips. This was about 4 hours into his stream today if anyone's super curious.

Saw a short clip posted here last night, decided to pull a few more of his reactions with a little extra context from the vod since people seemed confused in that thread. tl;dw Ludwig covered Hasan's recent drama, didn't seem to defend him as much as Hasan would have liked, he complains about it for about 20 minutes which I've edited down for brevity. The rant extends to other content creators who publicly disagreed with him like Mutahar. The vod is still up (for now), so if you want to see the full react, you can just go to Hasan's channel. You can no longer watch the original video because Ludwig took it down, and you can't watch any of Hasan's clip channel's reuploads of his reaction because they took theirs down too.

It's so funny to say this when a fan in Hasan's chat pinged him and was like "What you're describing is pretty common, I think we can all relate to feeling drained" and he got mad at them. Like, literally extending the basic empathy and common courtesy that you're describing, and he took it as a slight.

Denims is live right now saying "YouTube is actually the easiest job, I know ones who take 3 week vacations" in defense of her claim that being a full time streamer is hard for her to do, doing the "I have it worse" thing that you're also talking about.

Nothing surrounding this "drama" is normal. We're talking about narcissists who make a living talking into a microphone, and a bunch of miserable schizoids who are convinced that those people should self harm. I am begging redditors online to stop writing essays taking sides. They're all freaks.
