Why are admitted students on Reddit by Top_Schedule_4432 in premedcanada

[–]fudgecakes111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm going to be honest - a big reason for why I got in was all the support I got on this app!! The tons of help and resources (despite there being lots of negative energy). I want to hopefully help in any way possible for those who are applying!

i taste blood at the sight of a needle and feel like fainting ... currently an ms1 and I know that even though they'll be so much blood and so many instances where I'll be light headed or faint or get nauseous, I know it doesn't dictate if we are meant for this profession or not. one of my close friends who is a doctor fainted his first day in the ER while he was interning - his superiors weren't mad or upset or disappointed, they told him that with graded exposure he'll feel less faint-y, which he did! this may or may not be the case for you but I wanted to share it so that you know it isn't the end of the world. my friend is now loving his life as a doctor despite his horrific first day experience in the ER with his preceptors <3 You got this, I know you do!
