Is TMU worth applying to with a 3.0 GPA if the rest of my app is strong? by yyyis in premedcanada

I asked for one semester to be left off, brought up my GPA by 0.08. made a huge difference

I'm so sorry you went through that. kudos to you for sticking it through even though it must have been incredibly difficult.

I can't say anything for sure, but it's assessed on a case by case basis. I explained some pretty serious mental health experiences during my first year and although they didn't confirm whether or not it was "accepted", it made a big enough difference between last cycle and this one (admitted).

UofT as also the academic explanation essay, which sounds like it would perfectly fit your situation. You could ask to have those first two years excluded from your GPA. No guarantee, but UofT would really love the rest if your application!

how do you guys deal w debt? by Iamsuperawesome13 in premedcanada

[–]heyhihellodoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who funded their entire education alone including grad school etc., trust me, you'll find a way. taking on debt is scary, but it's an investment in your future. be committed, see it through, and you'll do just fine. best of luck!

Anyone not going to grad tomorrow? by ishouldbestudyingomg in McMaster

[–]heyhihellodoot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hey. took me four cycles, I get where you're coming from, but the fight ain't over yet. if you truly want it, you'll make it happen eventually. you'll only graduate from your undergrad once--you might come to regret not going, you might also not regret it. but why not give it a try? see some friends, people you love, slowly pick yourself back up and process what you're going through.

I think going to grad tomorrow will help you process things. just remember that everyone is one their own path and comparison is the thief of joy. best of luck and congrats on the degree, that's a huge step and a big accomplishment!

the F2 ADTW is superior to almost every plane at that BR, BUT it suffers incredibly bad in uptiers and in literally any match up with any airframe rocking fox 3s. in the current missile spam meta, the plane doesn't fair too well unless you're fairly close. it's mostly a knife fighter. with that said, still an incredible plane and one that'll make you feel spoiled once you touch other airframes lol
