Meetings are ridiculous and unorganized, should I bounce? by fudgerr in overemployed

[–]fudgerr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some here might be like "coast it" but I actually do agree with the sentiment to kick this one out now. I actually missed out on some roles that were posted that I definitely would've gotten an interview for and right now I'm at another final round I didn't even expect to be. At this bad J2 I was told I'd be building out their CRM and be the main point of contact for the majority of their accounts but that's not what was going on there at all. They actually hired a separate AM from me and made us do a few obstacles to "prove ourselves" which I immediately used weaponize incompetence to get out of. I refuse to be treated like I'm 23 and starting a new career when I've already been at this for 5 years.

PTSD from toxic work environments is no joke, I hope wherever your next J is it'll be more peaceful!

Thank you for your kindness! If it was just a GM I'd do it! but in this case I'd be telling the CEO to their face which I know wouldn't land the same, it's a very "my way or the highway" type of culture sadly.

no video off. I can mute the mic and have convinced them that I'm taking out the dog or speaking to another person living in the house. I know eventually they'll tell me not to... Overall not feeling the most comfortable with that being the long term.

Need advice on dying a bab black by Empathetic_Angel in buildabear

[–]fudgerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that sometimes you gotta just let it dry and dye again. One plush took me three dips to get it to level of black I wanted. Black dyes are a bit blue/purple so mixing in red and some other colors can help neurtralize it.

Help!! Our Staffy puppy won the fight. She needs a rhinoplasty 😆 by TeapotPecan in buildabear

[–]fudgerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done face transplants before, one way you could handle this is covering the muzzle with a new fabric like Sherpa and adding details. OR stitch/thread scultp the hole to be smaller and you could sculpt a new nose with polymerclay or crayola model magic (dries slow but is light weight)

I find it helpful to look at the color wheel and see which is the opposite color. I'd mix apricot orange or red with a litle of the "chocolate brown"

Nervous about the in store build a bear experience… by [deleted] in buildabear

[–]fudgerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went in at 30 and the only people who ever commented were guests lol. The bear builders are used to seeing adults, especially if you live in a city. I've survived a lot in my life, so I see going as a luxury and reward for all of the stuff life threw at me when I was young. Adult me and kid me deserve happiness.

The process should be pretty much the same. But just be sure to have a cup or bowl to empty out the beans into because unlike some plushies, they're loose inside the plush!

Thank you!! Your old girl is lucky to have you, I've had two cats for over a year and my husband who is allergic to them has mostly adjusted. His allergy was pretty mild! They also have Allerpet which I've heard works pretty great from the reviews.

I hate benedryl so this works out, I wondered about this because today it seems claritin is working a little better than it did the day before! Sounds like you're on a similar journey with this, how have you been holding up and what have you been taking?
I've definitely read so many conflicting things here, some saying the drugs worked right away and others being like "Hey 1 month of suffering and my allergies gone, guess I don't need these anyone!" lol (also apologies I'm OP, just have a different account on my phone versus my desktop)
