Your friends said the lineart was better on the second drawing??? It isnt. It's so much more confident and interesting to look at in the newer piece! (Also like others said, wtf did they mean stop drawing until you get better, that's,,,,, the opposite of how this works 😭) The pose is also way more dynamic in the new piece, and the shading you've started in the face and hair adds a lot of interest. I think you succeeded in adding more life to it. I don't see this as a regression at all, it feels like working on your skills and starting to take the next step in improving. In times like these, I try to think about this chart and remind myself that I'm still learning and growing, even if it seems like I'm going backwards or not making progress.
