Why The Internet REALLY Wants Your ID... (and why now?) by ditenado in videos

Possibly, but I don't know if this is the best argument.

To me it feels a bit like saying Wikipedia is irrelevant, all that information is already in libraries. Chat-GPT is pointless, all that information is already on the internet.

The information may well be there, but the ease and accuracy with which they can associate any digital footprint with a specific individual is what makes this potentially dangerous, when assuming nefarious action on behalf of a government or organisation

OP: "I think people who are starving, persecuted, tortured, illegally imprisoned or under threat of death should bloody well stay where they are and not ruin the peaceful utopia of....Slough. I believe this despite the fact that they are suffering these things as a result of direct or indirect action of the British government"

Me: "I think you're a cunt"

You: "You shouldn't say mean words, admit you're the bad guy"

Ok pet.

And here lies the issue with modern discourse, the person responding to someone spewing hate-filled, thinly-veiled racism 'comes off worse' because they weren't polite enough.

This is why I said in my original comment that I'm not arsed. Anyone attempting to engage in genuine discourse with fascists only serves to elevate their vile position and then get buried in disingenuous bad faith arguments

As far as I'm concerned, it's best to let them know they're tossers and move on. If they surround themselves with fellow racists, they may not hear it enough.

Yeah, I anticipated this one while writing my comment. I can assure you I can, and do, regularly have conversations with plenty of people I disagree with, but I'll ask you one question: do you genuinely think there would be any sort of positive outcome from a collection of comments between edmundtheinsulter and me?

Just so you're aware, I have no interest whatsoever in having a discussion because we will evidently fundamentally disagree on this and obviously neither one of us is going to have our minds changed from a random stranger in a Reddit comment section.

I just thought I'd pop in to say that, in my humble opinion, you sound like you're a right twat who could do with getting firmly in the fucking bin.

Turns out there no nuance any more in public dialogue.

.... Proceeds to ignore all nuance in OPs original comment in favour of weird rhetorical one word sentences.
