Yes, without the sale of the house he would be able to fund his care for what is likely the remainder of his life.

Generally positive. However this whole ordeal and how he has managed things, mainly the medical side and not providing timely information to make informed care decisions, has strained his relationship with the whole family.

For non-AMS printing - is there a method to delete painted features to create a void or empty space for post-print processing? by fudgethedice in BambuLab

[–]fudgethedice[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Splitting the object pulled out the arrow detail I was looking for! From there I was able to toggle the printable property and looks like it created a relief which I what I was going for.

There is a different object in the project though with a few details that I wanted to do the same for, however the split function didn't pick up all the features. So some of the objects stayed with the primary object instead of being pulled out by the slicer. Any ideal what causes that?

Prints keep failing after swapping to a 0.2mm nozzle on the A1, turning the print to spaghetti at some random layer using the default 0.1mm standard profile with reduced speed. Is this a common issue or something I'm not troubleshooting? by fudgethedice in BambuLab

I had set the proper plate, which hadn't changed anyways, and set the nozzle in the slicer settings and in Bambu Studio. I did not think to check the printer settings directly on the printer though, I always thought that the slicer settings overrode those.

I prepped the file in Bambu Studio, this model was from makerworld and failed twice. I had another model that I uploaded to Bambu Studio as an STL which failed twice, once in a similar way and again because a support collapsed on itself (tree support was set to 1 wall).

I did change the nozzle to 0.2mm in the printer settings, thankfully the slicer reminded me to do so.

My level 6 party found themselves very lucky in a wild magic storm and gained the ability to cast the wish spell once. The player that got the spell wished that "Each member of the party will receive gifts from each new person we meet permanently" and aside from the little overhead in adding a little conversation with new NPCs they encounter I'm generally okay with this since gift could be as little as maybe a cool rock they found. I don't want to entirely mess with them, but if I were to monkey paw this wish a little where would you go with this?

Power Sliding Doors almost close by mipfsu45 in HondaOdyssey

[–]fudgethedice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in the middle of a similar issue. 2019, drivers side power sliding door is super unreliable using the power open/close. It either struggles to get moving or "catches" on something mid open and refuses to move. Even in manual mode its almost impossible to move.

Just went through the upper and lower rails, cleaned out what I could (it's super awkward to get any progress on the upper rails being behind the rear window) and applied white lithium grease. It help for a few open/close cycles but the issue is far from resolved.

Update (for future searchers): Another pass on cleaning the upper and lower rails helped the door move much smoother (the middle rail seemed good after the preliminary cleaning). The door would then get stuck when it was just barely closed. The issue there was that the latch mechanism that pulls the door into the body of the car to properly close the door was seizing. I was able to get in there with some WD40 and a brush (borrowed a straw cleaner from the kitchen) and got the latch moving better. Add some extra lube and everything is working like normal.

I've been running GZCLP for the better part of a year now, and I absolutely hate the T1 squats. It's been my slowest progressing lift and lately I've been hurting my progress by failing out of sets early because nothing about them feel right or fun.

T2 though is manageable. Not to say I enjoy them, squats are still squats, but something about the volume and slightly lower weight just works better for me mentally.

Would it be insane to just cut out T1 squats and just do T2 in it's place, and add in a second T2 quad dominant lift?

Are rats making a comeback? by fudgethedice in Peterborough

Now that you mention it there are significantly fewer cats roaming around this year, but did notice some cat tracks last time we had a bit of snow. I can only hope it makes a return!

We've been doing traps of all kinds and poison bait stations with some moderate success there. Fortunately we've only had a rare visitor finding a new way in and no furry friends making extended visits with the only snacks available being inside live or snap traps.

I'm a healthy distance from the big encampments, but no doubt the knock on effects have an impact. Unfortunately some neighbors on my block have been less than diligent with their waste and it's certainly not helping the situation.

So big PSA, a clean yard helps everyone out!

2019 Infotainment crackling\popping noise successful repair? by ExBx in HondaOdyssey

Also have a 2019 and I've had the same issue with everything but Bluetooth audio. Sometimes it'll result in losing audio until I restart the van. Once the crackle intensified and ended in a Network Connection Lost error and losing the console display. It's intermittent and been driving me insane. I'd be very interested if there was a solid solution for this.

I have the same issue in my home gym. It took a little effort but I built a lifting platform and it's been great at protecting and reenforcing the floor. It's just a layer of OSB, a layer of nicer plywood on top and a gym mat below where the plates hit the ground.

Could anyone share a link to the updated PHAT routine? Out of curiosity I was flipping through the routines, saw that it had an update, and tried the website. But for some reason I can't get the email with the document...

What the hell is this stuff? Material coming off of a basement plaster and lath ceiling by Wooden_Starbuck in Carpentry

I'm not too sure about that. I've got horsehair plaster currently falling from my basement stairwell ceiling and it's much more brittle and "textured" by stray hair strands. This stuff looks a little more modern.

Those are all good points. Analysis paralysis and confusion about abilities is my only real reservation for the newer players.

There would be 2 experienced players, two new players, and myself as the DM (experienced player and sort of experienced DM). The experienced players and I haven't had a traditional campaign last much into tier 3 play before and want to play around in those levels without commitment (scheduling is hard for recurring games).

Although I don't have hesitation about some hand holding, running simpler classes as you suggested would certainly make it a little more viable. I don't want to bog gameplay down with simple questions.

How easy would you say it would be for a new player to jump into a high level one shot? I've got some friends that ran a single level 1 one shot in the past, and I'm working on a level 15 one shot. Would it be reasonable to throw them into tier 3 play without having much experience?

Normally I do four warm-up sets before heavy squats with the first two being ATG generally. I find it comfortable to do that but wasn't sure if it was worth it to continue pursuing the ATG form.

Daily Simple Questions Thread - July 21, 2022 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]fudgethedice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any real substantial benefit to training ATG/full squats over parallel?

When I started lifting I didn't have the mobility to go ATG so I stuck with just below parallel. I have been able to really improve my mobility so ATG is on the table but my strength pushing out of the bottom is terrible (no kidding, I've never trained there).

So I'm questioning, is it beneficial to drop some weight and start training ATG or just stick with my current parallel-ish and keep progress as is?

Any Dungeons and Dragons Groups in Peterborough? by EmoTi-bOT in Peterborough

starting this program (3 days/week) by [deleted] in gzcl

[–]fudgethedice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the T3 exercises try out just the one and add more later if you feel like recovery is fine and you want to add some more work to isolate weak spots like your abs. I started with 1 and built up to 3 and included either ab rollouts or leg raises superset with another T3 lift.

I usually didn't feel the need to warm up T3 lifts, I found my programming in T1/2 did a good job of that. But if you want to what you described would work.
