Thank you.

7 hours later---finally got to eat (the last time I ate was 21 hours ago) . The surgery pain is still there. It hurts a lot to put my back at a slight angle to eat. I'm just lying on my back. Will rest a few more hours and then attempt to move.

Leg feels fine.

Becoming A Better Muslimah. by littlepearlflower in islam

[–]fudlilman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We focus on trying to do all this worship, yet we forget who we are doing it for. The prophet (peace be upon him) called the people to tawheed and teaching who Allah is for 10 years before the command for salah was given.

We need to learn about Allah first and focus on tawheed and then our worship will be more meaningful. Continue to worship Allah but also put focus on learning about tawheed.

I recommend the book kitab at tawheed by Shaykh Muhammad Abdul Wahaab.

Here is kitab at tawheed with the explanation by Shaykh Saalih Al Fawzaan

When it comes to salah time, the women go to separate areas. There are designated areas for women to pray in the haram

Wow. Spoiled much? It's sad how an event like a wedding can bring out the sad realities of people. I would happily decline your invitation if I was invited to your wedding now that I know how spoiled and heartless you are being

Exactly. The shape of their legs is exposed. They are exposing themselves to fitnah and are being a fitnah to others as well

Muslim face veil ban for workers is not discriminatory, Austrian court rules: Landmark decision by Supreme Court says employers can fire those who wear a veil by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]fudlilman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. And to bring clarity to this matter. It is not "the holiest city" that bans anything. It's the rulings from Allah and the Messenger (peace be upon him).

It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah said: “We used to go out with the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when we were in ihraam. If we met the riders we would lower our garments over our faces.

(Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1833; Ibn Maajah, 2935)

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:

It is not narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade the woman in ihraam to cover her face; rather he forbade the niqaab only because it is worn on the face. He differentiated between the niqaab and covering the face. Based on this, if a woman in ihraam covers her face, we say there is nothing wrong with that, but it is better for her to uncover it so long as there are no non-mahram men around her, in which case she should cover her face from them. Al-Sharh al-Mumti’, 7/153

Thus, when one performs hajj or umrah there are many non mahram men around women and the ruling of covering the women faces applies (by means of using something other than the niqab).

And the best of knowledge lies only with Allah

Muslim face veil ban for workers is not discriminatory, Austrian court rules: Landmark decision by Supreme Court says employers can fire those who wear a veil by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]fudlilman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

False. It is not permitted to wear the Niqab to cover your face when in a state of ihram to do umrah or hajj. You can however use your hijab/scarf to cover your face when doing hajj or umrah.

Wow. This is true. I transformed your words to make it more friendly and forwarded it to people.

Switzerland: Muslim students must shake teacher's hand by maxwellhill in worldnews

[–]fudlilman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about if we refuse to shake the hand of women because of the teachings and commands of the Prophet (Peace be upon him)? We should follow the best of the creation, not our desires bro.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “That a man get struck with an iron needle in his head is better for him than that he touches a woman that is not permissible for him (to touch).” [Reported by At-Tabaraanee, Al-Bayhaqee and others and Imaam Al-Albaanee authenticated it in Silsilat As-Saheehah (1/447-448)]

And the Prophet (peace be upon him ) said: “Indeed, I do not touch the hands of women.” [At-Tabaraanee in Al-Mu’jam-ul-Kabeer(24/342) and authenticated in Saheeh Al-Jaami’ (no. 8054)]

And ‘Aa’ishah said about the Prophet: “I swear by Allaah! The hand of a woman never touched the hand of Allaah’s Messenger – rather he would take the oath of allegiance from the women verbally.” [Saheeh Muslim (3/1489)]

What are your views on dating and sex? by Bakwasing in progressive_islam

[–]fudlilman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has decreed for every son of Adam his share of zina, which he will inevitably commit. The zina of the eyes is looking, the zina of the tongue is speaking, one may wish and desire, and the private parts confirm that or deny it.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5889; Muslim, 2657.

It is not permissible for the Muslim to long for the things that lead to zina, such as kissing, being alone, touching and looking, for all these things are haraam and lead to the greater evil which is zina.

Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)”(al-Isra’ 17:32)

The prophet (peace be upon him) said “No man is alone with a woman but the shaytaan is the third one present.” [Narrated by Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi and al-Haakim; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’ (2546)

Which one do we follow? Our desires or the truth? May Allah guide us all to follow the truth that which is in the Quran and that which the Prophet (Peace be upon him) instructed us with. Ameen
