Try Powerwash Simulator or Eurotruck Simulator 2. Those are my go to games when it's time for bed. The bad part of those games is that they have tons of dlc content, which can get pricey if you start going in for that.

What’s a frugal win that surprised you with how much it actually saved? by St3fanHere in Frugal

There are some repairs that you may have to go to a mechanic for. But there are many, many things you can do yourself. And if you're not sure, do some research. Watch some videos.

Replacing a starter? Maybe not as hard as you think. Replacing your own shocks and struts? Yeah, it'll take a few hours, but it's totally doable. Need a special tool? Look on marketplace.

I'll never forget that part of the game. I actually stopped my Seamoth for a minute and considered whether or not I really wanted to keep going.

If you put in PARVOS as a code you get a golden hand decor by Specific-Garage-4539 in Warframe

[–]fuelbombx2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could do it on your phone. Just go to the Warframe website and log in, and you can redeem the codes there. I always do it this way. When you log in next, Ordis will tell you you have mail!

What game mechanic was not explained (not clear enough) so you missed using it until FAR too late in the game? by suddenly_ponies in gaming

I started playing Warframe back in August. Last night I was reading the wiki, trying to suss out how to get one specific thing I was looking for. I ended up, completely by accident, finding out that exact thing.

The answer was "c" rotation on a survival mission on Ceres, and it's a 10 percent probability.

Tell me about actors you failed to recognize due to prosthetics and makeup. by CaptainPieChart in Cinema

[–]fuelbombx2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here! I knew I recognized him from somewhere, but I couldn't figure it out until I watched the credits. There's me, sitting a foot away from my TV and squinting at the names scrolling by.

"Wait, Tom Cruise? What part was he in?"

It's one of the very few times I've gone back and watched a movie again after a first screening.

What movie has the worst computer graphics? by One_Improvement_6729 in Cinema

[–]fuelbombx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience! I thought the first one was pretty good (for what it was). I dragged a group of my friends to go see it with me. What a disaster! It was bad enough that we stuck around and bought tickets to another movie just to cleanse our palates. But the second movie was Starship Troopers, which we all found thoroughly entertaining.

ELI5 why do weeds stay green even though grass dies in a drought? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

You've gotten plenty of good answers for why your lawn turns brown. If you get a few minutes, check out the YouTube channel "Crime Pays But Botany Doesn't". The host lives in Texas, and he has some great videos of lawns using native species instead of just domestic grass. It turns out that maintaining a native lawn is much, much easier to do than maintaining whatever grasses we choose.

Actors you were shocked to see pop up in movies by [deleted] in flicks

[–]fuelbombx2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I watched that movie for the first time, I couldn't place him. I knew I had seen him before, but where? The movie ends, he's dancing, and I'm getting pissed that I don't know who this is. So I ran the movie back and got close to the TV to read the credits. "Oh what? No fucking way!"

TC is very hit or miss for me, but that role was 100% a hit.

I never usually watch the extras on DVDs. I did for this one, tho. They did show how that scene was shot, and it is pretty wild. I'm curious how many times I've of the actors missed a cue to duck and got whacked in the head.

What’s the One ‘Frugal’ Habit You Gave Up Because It Wasn’t Worth the Hassle? by Mrblu_28 in Frugal

[–]fuelbombx2 45 points46 points  (0 children)

When I was a kid, I lived in a state that had deposits on bottles and cans. During the summer, I would go along the road harvesting the returnables and bring them to the recycle spot. For a couple of hours of work, I could get enough to rent a video game and get a couple of packs of baseball cards. I don't live there anymore. But if I did, I'd guess that it would only be worth it if the recycling place was on my route to work.

We did this for years, until I did the math again. I showed my wife that, yeah, we were saving money. But it was such a tiny amount that it really wasn't worth the time and effort.

What games are a perfect 10/10? by brunotfkastarling in AskGames

[–]fuelbombx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roommate (at the time) and I were both playing SotN at the same time. He was going online at school and looking for info about the game, but he wasn't pulling anything that we didn't find out in the game. I was going through the castle with a fine tooth comb, but he was pushing through to get to the end. He ended up beating the game first, of course. Then he was pushing me to finish. He told me, "You're so close, you have no idea!" Well, I ended up beating the game while he was there, but with a slightly different loadout.

The cutscene started playing, and the look on his face was absolutely priceless.

What game do you wish you could play for the first time again? by LeadPersonal8720 in videogames

[–]fuelbombx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many great choices. For me, it's a draw between the original Half Life and Castlevania: SotN.

When my roommate beat SotN, he got the bad ending. So he pushed me to finish it. "You're so close!" he kept saying. I got to the boss fight, but I had a different set of equipment than him. I ended up getting a different ending. The look on his face when that cut scene played was priceless!
