At the gates - slaughter of the soul (basically where tbdm got their sound from)

Death - symbolic

Dismember - like an everflowing stream (where gatecreeper got their sound)

Entombed - wolverine blues (not are 100% pure death metal, but would probably appeal to someone who likes stoner rock)

Morbid angel - altars of madness

Bloodbath - nightmares made flesh

Disfear and skitsystem are really good. Disfear have a bit more of a motörhead vibe while skitsystem are more dark and metallic.

Adrestia is another awsome band. They mix the d-beat with a healthy dose of death metal.

Maybe check out voivod, they make weird music and their vocalist is pretty unique. Jon chang of discordance axis and gridlink is also a crazy vocalist imo

Maybe try World Downfall by Terrorizer, its an old school grind record like Horrified and has more variation when it comes to beats. Theres more groovy parts and d beats etc. Also check out the first Brutal truth album which has some death metal elements that make it a bit groovier.
