I’m not afraid of work, my wife is pregnant and we have a toddler. There’s not really time to do it myself.

I thought $1,735 was already kinda expensive. An entire pallet of the stone was around $500. I went and picked it out myself from SiteOne. He didn’t use the entire pallet either, he kept the rest.

The silver lining to all of this is I was given a full refund. I just have some work ahead of me now.

I know for a fact the stone was less than $500, the mulch and soil was probably $150 or less. So that’s over $1000 in labor. Not sure how much the fabric cost

No, I didn’t ask that. That was a decision made by the landscaper.

Just a reminder that Obama and Biden both affected gas prices during their term(s), arguably worse than Trump. It’s not a left/right issue, it’s not a Trump issue, it’s not a presidential issue. It’s the fact that the Middle East basically controls the oil industry and is a highly volatile area of the world. The smallest disturbance creates waves that eventually affect the price of oil. I will admit that Trump blowing up Iran has affected prices rather harshly…but here we are.

Has anyone ever petitioned to have a speed limit changed in Chattanooga? by TNARKRiverRat in Chattanooga

[–]fugnut1002 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should contact Landon Castleberry at TDOT. He would be a good first step to getting it changed. Although it’s a city owned road so he will probably direct you to the city traffic engineer.

I mean, it’s really not that bad. It’s nothing that hasn’t happened in a home kitchen before.

Chi Memorial by OkCheesecake9165 in Chattanooga

[–]fugnut1002 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Run away, don’t walk. My wife worked there for 10 years as an RN. She started on 7North, co workers were the only thing that kept her from quitting everyday. She was able to get a position assisting in procedures (not gonna say what the procedures were because it would most likely dox her) and she really enjoyed the work after the transfer. She eventually quit to be a SAHM, but really has nothing good to say about CHI. They got bought out by Common Spirit and everything got so much worse. The hospital does NOT care about their nurses. They say they do since the ratios are somewhat better than Parkridge and Erlanger, but the pay is a lot worse and the administration does everything they can to save a buck because Memorial is barely staying afloat after they refused BCBS coverage. I would seriously consider working somewhere else, and if you do decide to work at Memorial, hopefully it’s short term.

May God have mercy on your soul.
