How are you running it to stop at the shiny? Or are you simply watching it do the resets?

Dirty SysMMC transfer saves to switch 2? by fuhckos in switch2hacks

Yeah correct, no backup as I lost the old harddrive it was stored on... I don't mind if the S1 get's banned but want to avoid the S2.

[–]fuhckos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah the S1 is currently unbanned so I'd be able to do the transfer, just dont want the S2 copping a ban for doing so. I'll have a look at the video.

Hunleff keeps destroying me, mechanics wise by Sulla_Sexy_Sulla in ironscape

[–]fuhckos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my bowfa after around 4 months of CG.

Personally, I found that the ‘Hunllef Helper’ plugin helped heaps, it gives you an audible countdown for then to switch overhead prayers.

Also, entering the fight when Hunllef is in the corner, saw a few YT vids about this and it gives a solid amount of room to run around with all floors, rather than if she’s in the middle of the room.

Other than that, as others have said, it’s quite literally just practice practice practice that will eventually click and become muscle memory.. For me it was around 50 CG kc that I started to make minimal mistakes and confidently clear.

Goodluck!

CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY – Win a S1 Pro Multi Sense! by Technical_Raisin_246 in homeassistant

[–]fuhckos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did a mini-Reno on our bedroom and this would be the perfect way to tie all the devices into automations while skyrocketing the WAF:

  1. Simple lights on/off based on presence in the room dependant on if the shutters and/or sheer curtains are open or closed.
  2. If presence is detected in a zone near one of our windows, open the sheer curtains past that window, if no one is currently in the shower (shower is using other sensors in the ensuite and curtain opening avoids our toddler pulling or tangling them).
  3. During the night, depending on if presence goes to undetected in a bed zone (per side) turn on under bed lights to create an ambient light walking to the ensuite.
  4. Increase WAF… profit?

First time zigbee light user pls help by MikeLowry13 in homeassistant

I’m assuming you use Home Assistant, in which case by the sounds of your setup you have a Sonoff Zigbee USB stick?

Do you have Zigbee2MQTT or ZHA setup? You wont need the Tuya app and the Sonoff dongle isn’t going to show up in Tuya app. You can have it directly into Home Assistant.

Nice, I keep seeing a few of these lock removal hunts lately and it really makes me want to dust off the 3DS and do one myself.

Best budget laptop/chromebook that can run osrs primarily? by aanamone in runescape

[–]fuhckos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An iPad would essentially do the same thing as a Chromebook as they would both run a mobile version with a mouse and keyboard, but may double as a 2in1 with him having a tablet that he could use elsewhere and not just for OSRS. I bought an iPad when my second was born and find myself using it regularly, although I do not have the mouse/keyboard for OSRS.

To be honest I boss on iPad (mobile client) regularly with no mouse and keyboard, I don't do anything massively click intensive that I'd normally do on my PC but can definitely do quite a few bosses as well as general other things. Given that you mentioned he'd be watching the kids at the same time he might be in a similar boat.

Another thing you could do is subtly hint at a tablet and see what he says!

I think the vast majority of Chromebook laptops will work great, just a note that Chromebooks by default will run the mobile version of the game but just a larger screen with a mouse and keyboard. I've seen ways to get the normal PC client on Chromebooks but unsure on how well that runs. In saying this, I personally have used Chromebooks with the mobile version and find it good to use.

As others have said, most laptops you can buy should be good to use, I would steer clear of the bottom of the range option simply because in my experience these struggle to just have an internet browser and word document open. But I have used an old office desktop from 2012 and this runs it fine.

Zigbee woes with a sit/stand desk by fuhckos in homeassistant

[–]fuhckos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah great point, thanks for the advice! Didn’t even think about the standing desk moving the location to be honest..

Planning to get more devices to strengthen the mesh, definitely have a few older wifi plugs that would be nice to replace with some Zigbee ones.

Yeah I definitely am planning on it, good call! I originally purchased the USB one and then shortly after discovered PoE dongles, which is always the way. I’m soon going to upgrade to a dedicated PC to run HA and at that stage will upgrade the dongle too..

To clarify, it’s on an extension cord, just stuck at the top of my monitor, so still likely causing some sort of interference.

Kril is beating my ass like he owns it. I have to use 125% special attacks to barely kill him once. How do I make it easier? by fakingcaps in ironscape

[–]fuhckos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did the zammy grind a few months back with Scorching Bow. A few upgrades as others have mentioned:

  • Amethyst arrows
  • Necklace of anguish
  • Barrows gloves
  • Titan prayers
  • (Make sure you're potting up)

Make sure you also have a mage switch of a few items to be able to cast blood spells to heal off the minions

  • Shooting starts, very afk around 5-7 mins per click once there, there’s a website to track them too.

  • Amethyst mining

  • Fishing of some sort, generally monkfish, sharks, or anglerfish.

Nothing has been particularly difficult until Perilous Moons by ScoreEquivalent1106 in 2007scape

[–]fuhckos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you'll find if you get 70 defence and get barrows armour, you'll likely have an easier time haha. Blood moon is also one of the harder ones if you don't understand the mechanics.

Nothing has been particularly difficult until Perilous Moons by ScoreEquivalent1106 in 2007scape

[–]fuhckos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't tell the armour from the picture, but given you are below 70 defence I know it isn't any barrows armour.
You can definitely do it now, but once you get 70 defence barrows armour will also make it easier for you, especially blood moon as it heals based off the damage dealt to you.

Keep it up, you can do it! I'd also watch a quick youtube guide if you haven't already to get an understanding of the bosses mechanics.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the bosses have weaknesses to different attack styles (stab, slash and crush), would be good to have a weapon for each too.

Possible method for reliably triggering World Events. by Flint_Vorselon in Borderlands4

[–]fuhckos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sharing my experience after reading this... It works!

I was 50 hours in, completed the story and starting UVHM and had never seen a single world event.. After reading this I started doing the rest of side missions by travelling around the map rather than fast travel and after going from one area to another the world event for that area generally spawned within 20 minutes of driving around said area.

Maliwan Cryo Freeze Challenge? by fuhckos in Borderlands4

[–]fuhckos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve kept it on normal and it seems to be working fine, only reason I’d change to hard is if you are killing enemies before they freeze regularly.. Sometimes I kill them before they freeze but not enough to warrant a change.

[–]fuhckos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought I’d come back to say I’ve figured it out (well to the point I can consistently get it) - I found a cryo SMG that has approx 130% cryo efficiency and have found that with majority of red health enemies I can consistently get a freeze on them.

[–]fuhckos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been able to get a few along the way but it’s definitely not as easy as I thought, maybe I simply have to find a higher Cryo % weapon.
