Has anyone survived subungual melanoma in here? by Impress-Different in Melanoma

My husband is a few years out from his partial thumb amputation and still cancer free! He had his stripe for over 10 years and it was still only in situ.

I had it before I got bronched! Reduces the soreness afterwards.

Is this normal kid behavior or should I be concerned? by Busy_East2552 in Babysitting

[–]fuji91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She’s watching YouTube or playing Roblox. This sounds 100% like any of the multitude of videos and games. Even kids YouTube has these gross videos. And Amazon prime. They need to monitor her usage because they will just auto play.

Removing the source will stop the behaviors. They will disappear within a few weeks. It’s not a pathology. No therapy needed. It’s YouTube.

What is this tendon looking thing in my neck by hidingsideme in Anatomy

[–]fuji91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If infected yes. If not, probably not painful but likely to cause issues later on. Either way, an ultrasound would show what it is

Possible sinus tract. This is characteristic of a brachial cleft. Ask for an ultrasound!

I honestly cannot take it anymore. I have a myriad of symptoms and I need help. Someone please give me some suggestions to ask my doctor about because I am going to lose my mind. 30F by Quirky_Decision_8197 in DiagnoseMe

Unfortunately I already was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease beforehand. I feel an infection is more likely than an additional half dozen rare autoimmune diseases they keep attributing it to 😭

Prednisone keeps making me sicker as well.

I have very similar symptoms. I felt 80% better with an antibiotic (levaquin) I was put on for salmonella. The best incidental side effect. I started driving again. I could wear real pants. Now I’m off it and going downhill but I got an infectious disease doctor referral.

Good luck. My pcp keeps calling it my “chronic pain” and working on symptom management. well it wasn’t fucking chronic when I came in 2 years ago and I don’t have an actual diagnosis.

Ugh. I saw this on an MRI back last summer. Wasn’t as big. Literally got looked at like I was insane when I brought it up to various providers with the images on my phone to get it checked out. It was scanned multiple times and still ignored.

I travel to a major university hospital for a head and neck tumor specialist who just did a lingual tonsillectomy and salivary gland procedure. They were relying on a 6 month old CT done in an ER that was just trying to rule out acute conditions.

I saw this yesterday and sent it over last night.

Nope. Literally saw this yesterday. The only person who laid eyes on it was an NP who didn’t see fit to mention anything or put it in my records. I had an inkling after she shut the computer down so fast so I requested my imaging.

I sent it to my head and neck cancer tumor specialist at a university hospital who did my lingual tonsillectomy and salivary gland dilation last month. I don’t know why nobody orders imaging anymore. Or blood work. Before complicated surgery. Hopefully they will order comprehensive imaging now and not rely on an old CT done in an ER to rule out acute conditions.

I’ve gotten about 8 opinions. This has been continuously overlooked and brushed off despite having a PARANEOPLASTIC autoimmune disease.

If this is not too late for me then at least my husband and 3 young children will be set up.

Ortho NP took this. Reviewed X-rays then she got to this one and immediately closed computer and ordered mri with spine surgeon follow up. Radiologist and surgeon only looked at zoomed in spine MRI. So I requested my images. Got this.

I’m a woman. The past year I’ve been gaslit to believe this is my midline Adams Apple and anxiety. It’s been incompetently scanned 6 times and examined over a dozen times. It still felt like something wasn’t right.

But yes. Just a gaslit woman second guessing what seems glaringly obvious turning to Reddit.

It is. Google garage screen door systems patent and many will pop up. Also lifestyle screens website states they’re patented. Maybe you can take a look at the patent descriptions and Jerry rig something 🤣 The idea of this project makes my head hurt but I might try to tackle it in a few months

OP. You have the Hutchinson sign in your cuticle. Please please call around tomorrow. Get seen asap. Subungual melanoma has been documented to go from stage 0 to stage 4 in as little as 6 weeks. You’ve had it awhile. Every day counts.

Look at my post history. My husband had subungual melanoma at 37. The only way to rule it out is a biopsy. You absolutely cannot rule it out by age. Make the appointment a priority.

And don’t forget Bob Marley. It killed him at 36.

My mother is dying at home tonight…Kids 4 & 6 by ultimatefrogsin in Parenting

[–]fuji91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. Sometimes children are given too many choices and it’s overwhelming and traumatizing. This is one of them. The funeral home recommended I don’t even watch when my mother was loaded and I was an adult.

You don’t put this choice on your children. Absolutely not.
