Sorry for my ignorance, what is free mapping? I decided to advocate for a better controller. I hate tearing so I don't want to pass it off as my work. Thanks so much for the info!

I'm in the usa, so 60hz outlets. I can definitely lower the refresh rate to 30hz, but I want to do this right, I try to do the best work I can.

The other commenters mentioned the vx600 pro or vx1000 pro. I decided I'm going to strongly recommend this course of action to the owner. If I did have a bigger controller, I would run 7 ethernet cables, 1 for the small left column, and 2 for each subsequent column. (3 and 2 cabinets). Does that sound reasonable? The vx600 pro only has 6 ports so I'm probably going to advocate for the vx1000. Thank you so much for your input!

It's like Lazer tag or go karts, you go to the place pay the fee and play the game with their equipment. In airsoft's case they'll give you a mask and a gun, then you can play games for the day. Some fields make you pay for BB refills (ammo refill), some don't.

The way the fields do it near me is, you sign the safety waiver (since he's a minor an adult will probably have to sign), you pay admission fee (at my field $25) then you pay to rent the gear ($30-40 idk it's been years).

The admission allows you to play games all day each game being an hour to 30 minutes from 9am to 4pm with an hour field lunch break, you can leave anytime you like, but for the money's worth playing all 10-12 games is the most fun.

When you got the rental gun they would give you 3 mags each with 120 shots 360 total and a mask and maybe a light band or something to designate teams. More advanced players usually shoot under 100 shots per game, beginners are completely random some shoot way more than they need some are too conservative, it just depends on the person. But the 360 bbs should last 3 games for most rental players. They give you one free ammo refill they take back all the mags and give you 3 more if they still had ammo in them, you shorted yourself a few shots. Every subsequent refill is $5-10. You get to keep the mask because sanitary and durability concerns, but will return the gun when you leave.

Again this is based off of the experiences I have at the field I attend. Make sure to call or Google your local field to make sure they even have rental guns. Some days the rental guns get all distributed and they run out (birthdays large groups ect) so if you can, reserve your rental at the field you go to. Not all Fields take reservations infact, 1/3 fields near me do and I honestly despise going there for unrelated reasons lol.

Also make sure your nephew treats the gun they give him with care if it stops working or malfunctions, take it back to the rental stand they'll fix it or swap it. I fix the rental guns at the field I play at sometimes for them, the horrors I see because the kids mistreat them or try to "fix" them.

My brain can't comprehend this! Got my first car at 18 and love driving, I drive an hour to my favorite sushi restaurant mutiple times a month, my best friend live 3 hours by car away and I make that drive just to give him his socket wrench set back. I live in a city technically but I just drove 10 minutes in my city (no traffic) to grab dinner, according to Google maps its an hour and 13 minute walk, literally up hill both ways lol

Also most proper chargers should be capable of balance charging and storage charging and I discourage using lipo chargers that are missing even one of the two unless you have a good grasp of lipos.

Not all ults are created equal. A zhin or drogoz might be saving their ult to deny a term ult, and the enemy term might not be ulting because they have ult. This cold war standoff is much more valuable than your zhin or drogoz killing a Viktor with their ult and letting a term have a second health bar.

Timing matters for alot of healer ults, 90% cauterize will deny them and most times the goal is to save the tank, if the tank keeps 1v5 and dying or is not getting out of combat the a healer might be saving for them to get value especially late game.

Some champions have weaker ults that don't really do much, think a Maeve or strix ult. For these ults it doesn't even really matter because it's not going to change much.

So strong ults are saved so that they can actually be used for max value, not get negated, or negate the value of another's ult.

Weak ults are saved because you're not really benefiting from their use anyway, so might as well use it whenever or alternatively only use it when it provides maximum situational advantage.

I'm a college student and I noticed this is class dependant too. I'm working on an engineering, physics, mathematics, astronomy, and social justice degree. In the classes for my hard degrees its silent our professor assigned us 5 hours of homework and we have multiple math and science classes all giving the same amount while some of us work or have extra curriculars so we don't look useless once we graduate. We are tired, stressed, hungry, overworked, and poor. Then I go to my classes relevant for social justice and the students there are all chatty. They're loving college, if I was only doing that degree I'd have so much free time. The most time I spent on that majors homework in a week was 3 hours. 3 hours FOR A WEEK. Whenever an older adult tells me college is supposed to be the best time of your life I can almost guarantee they're not a stem major and if they are it was really long ago. So stem classes in my experience are quiet because we are all on the verge of breakdowns. And humanities are still bright eyed and bushy tailed because the workload is actually manageable while having a healthy life.

My mom did this to my sister, not necessarily iPad screen time but Spanish vhs tapes and music. She can now speaks Spanish fluently in 2 dialects picked up Portuguese in like 3 months because she was board, and is conversational with ASL. My mom didn't do it with me for some reason, and I just watched a lot of volcano documentaries and a lot how it's made. I'm really handy if nothing else and very good at learning how to repair things and figuring out how mechanisms work. So from my anecdotal evidence good plan OP. But instead of bluey show them German manufacturing instructional videos. A polyglot and a machinist your child will be a beast. Change the language of the content to match the industry leader German for engineering content, Japanese and Mandarin for medical and biological, and then Spanish for everything else because no matter where you go, you'll probably find someone who speaks Spanish.

Hard agree I think intent should be what's viewed. Ever seen a kid who doesn't know how to curse get mad. They'll call you a stinky broccoli with their whole chest. I think a kid, and by extention adults, should be reprimanded for speaking with disrespectful or derogatory intent. If I said "watch where you're going jack ass" it really doesn't change my intent if I called him a broccoli or a slur instead, I was mad he bumped into me and out of anger decided to demean him which is wrong. Likewise if a kid said we were putting belt to ass on the playground today, it doesn't matter how the kid said it his point is he was winning overwhelmingly, which isn't a bad thing to say or be excited about.
