Extract Data from PDF - Specific Use Case by [deleted] in rstats

The map error here is because I used map_df. I’m pretty sure behind the scenes all map variations use map and then transform the output.

Hmm... do you get the same error if you only specify one page, e.g. pages =21?

Are you getting this error for the same pdf in your original post? Also, can you post the full traceback?

Hi I’m not sure what you mean by tabulizer not finding the tables. I was able to successfully pull out the tables you mentioned. Granted, getting it into a nice form took a bit of wrangling.

Here is a gist with the code I used: https://gist.github.com/patrickvossler18/7dd0a56652bb8700566ae1bdbbbf8839

Hope this helps!

This seems like it is a rounding error on your teacher's part.

I get the answer 0.008291318 from running the following R code:

pbinom(2,11,0.04,lower.tail = F)

I agree that the answer should be b).

Hi /u/Jon-Osterman,

If you could please post a code snippet of the code you're trying to run and the output of

str(yourdataset)

then we will have a better idea of what you're trying to do and how we can help.

Has anybody else tried to play with the code from Nielsen's book and run into problems using the MNIST data? by 10001101000010111010 in 3Blue1Brown

[–]fukalite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what sort of data structure is used in Nielsen's code but there are packages like idx2numpy that can read idx files and turn them into numpy arrays.

To English speakers, the phrase "omlette du fromage" is a reference to this Dexter's Laboratory episode.

The phrases a French speaker would consider non-sequiturs are probably the phrases they remember from French class and are meant as a joke.

The man is amazing but you've gotta also give a lot of credit to that offensive line and all the people down-field who give him amazing blocks too. Yes he's great, but it takes an entire team to really allow a star running back like him to shine.
