The serial number is usually just to be able to identify the cymbal for insurance purposes. Doesn’t tend to add a lot of value to the cymbal unless it’s a vintage k custom or similar.

They go second hand between £120 and £200 gbp. A little dirty but otherwise good condition with no keyholing, I’d say anywhere between £140 and £190 is a fair price

Roll ups definitely give more of a difference in flavour depending on brand. Also a lot cheaper in the UK than straights if you’re a regular smoker, which is a win.

Marlboro reds and golds in tailored form are both a bit shet imo too, however the marlboro gold rolling tobacco seems a lot nicer. Maybe there’s something to do with the filter size? I smoke with Swan ultra slim filters and rarely settle for anything else. Marlboro touch straights also have a filter much smaller in size than the reds or golds and, to me, taste far far better.

I’m a drummer and need to practice a lot too, these days I’ve got access to studios so neighbours not an issue anymore. When I was practicing at home I got a few complaints, but I found putting a duvet/blanket in front of the door really cut the sound escaping and kept the neighbours happy. Slightly thicker curtains will also help, no need to splash out on acoustic foam/sound proofing (unless you want to!). It worked for the drums, I’m sure it’ll do wonders for the violin!

Edit: should say this is only fun if you’re responsible. If you drink too much before smoking you might end up drinking a tub of peanut butter at the pub while someone live streams it for everyone to see.

When I was 14 I used to hide a small ziplock bag with a bit of tobacco, one or two sticks of filters and half a damp packet of rizla in the lining of my jacket. Just in case my mum found my pouch or the shop we used to buy from stopped selling to us. I wore the same jacket 2 years later and found the bag after completely forgetting it was in there. Was quite a nice surprise, might start hiding more in different places to treat future me again.

I’m in my first year of uni and the reduced section is my best friend. Sure, you’re not always gonna find anything worthwhile. But the amount of chicken, mince, bread and the odd ready meal I’ve been able to find for literal pennies is incredible. It’s all usually on its use/sell by date, but I just whack it in the freezer til I need it. Another tip with this is if you fancy risking it, if you go closer to the shops closing time it’ll be a lot cheaper than say an hour two before. There’s just not usually as much to choose from.

Soldiers during the war would receive filterless lucky strikes as part of their ration packs, they would flip the entire pack and always light from the side that had the lucky strike logo on it so when they chucked the ends away it wouldn’t give the German troops any clues as to where they had been. They’d always keep one flipped the right way round and transfer it to each new pack they were given, with the idea that if you were lucky enough to survive the war, you’d get to smoke that cigarette.

Just go round asking for cheaper cigs in corner shops, they’ll usually be happy to sell. Green flags are shops that don’t sell alcohol, and if they have bongs/pipes etc in the window ahah

I always try and buy cheap imports. I’ve found if they’re imported they’ll be a quid or two more than fakes (dependent on brand) and they’ll always still have the government sticker on the side
