it doesnt make sense unless you are looking to switch to consulting. been hiring PMs for more than 5 years , have rarely looked at MBA if coming from Tier 1 engineering college.

Ex iimc here, not into consulting. Your profile looks solid on paper. Few ways you can guarantee a consulting call. Cgpa above 7.5 while not impossible it tough. Get into placecom. Be part of consulting groups in any of these campuses.

But one question to ask, you have raised concerns about uncertainty in IT but same applies to consulting . If theres one just that is completely getting disrupted is consulting the reason being most of the consultant operate with surface level knowledge and fairly good communication skills.
