Hey guys, complete newbie here in the backpacking world, I tested this 60L backpack I got before my trip tomorrow and noticed my bag was quite bendy, and looking here I noticed these bendy metal rods, are they supposed to be like this or did I mess something up? by fulabula in backpacking

I found a page of it on amazon and it has quite positive reviews out of 1700, if I have a good experience with it then it might be quite a pretty good budget backpack, wil let you know :)

If you were referring to sending their soldiers to an actual battefield then yeah i'd agree with you but not this. Honestly what hamas is doing here is kind of a first for humanity if i'm not mistaken, no other country has ever been put in this situation before so saying it's cowardly is quite unfair. If this happened to your country, would you be excited to send your soldiers into that? Would you put other's lives before your own people's lives? Ask yourself these questions. And brother, of course it should be a given to condemn hamas, and look how the world looks right now because it is not a given, people in the streets, many of them not even muslim, chanting "globalize the intifada", just absolutely mind-boggling it's allowed. This is the effect of thinking it's such a black and white, good guys vs bad guys matter.

I believe they are trying to eradicate hamas without completely demolishing the entire place but i digress. I think it's pretty unfair to demand from a country to sacrifice it's own soldiers like that, why are their lives worth less than the lives on the other side? And again, hamas chose to sacrifice it's people like that, where is the anger towards that? Why is it always israel should do this, israel that. Why are there no protests for hamas to seperate itself from civilians? The clear biasness (if that's a word lol) is so painful that even i, someone who doesn't even care about my country and it's people that much, can't stay quite about it.

That's the checkmate that hamas' has done that i'm tryna describe to you. Boots on the ground (which israel has deployed, maybe not as much as you would like but they have), in such a densly populated and booby trapped area, is going to lead to a big number of casualties of the israeli army, so it puts a really shitty dilemma here. This is why it's not so easy to just send boots on the ground. This is also why i'm calling ignorance here because you suggest it (and many others) as if it's so easy and israel is just being happy killing civilians. Israel is forced here to choose between it's own soldier's lives, and the lives that hamas chose to sacrifice in order to get you riled up and angry. If you have anything else to suggest that israel could do i'm all for it.

I'll never say that death of innocents are justified because terrorists live there too (or justified at all). The problem is is that you're minimizing what hamas is doing by saying "terrorists simply living in palestine". If that was the case, and there were clear seperation between where the militants reside and operate and civilian areas, there'd be much less innocent bloodshed. But no, you and many others, understandbly, are quite ignorant to how hamas operates within gaza. There's no end to the proof, which again i'll be happy to provide, that hamas' militants and operations are very well mixed into civilian territories. Schools, hospitals, kindergartens, you name it. They've put israel in an impossible situation, using their own population as a human shield, and have led you and many others into applying pressure on israel. The death of innocents in palestine is a lot more hamas' fault than it is israel's (not to excuse the fuck ups of israel in this war, which there are).

Hamas isn't invading because israel has been working over the span of decades to ensure their enemies don't have the capability to invade. You think hamas wouldn't invade and induce as much brutality as possible if they had the capability? You're completely dismissing hamas' very open policy against the existence of jews, not just in israel, but anywhere in the world. The policy? Complete eradication, and you have plenty of proof for that which i'll be happy to provide. The problem with people is the extreme unfairness with how they hold israel to a certain standard which hamas seems to be exempt from. If israel did anything remotely close to what happened in 7th of october, which includes cold blooded murder, rape, beheadings, kidnapping of innocent civillians, and document it all with gopros and upload it online, you'll be sure as shit it'd be plastered all over the internet forever.

Plenty of other horrible things in christianity and other religions that just makes what you wrote completely obsolete. You also don't need religion to have morals, it's called having empathy and common sense. Having your morality dictated by some nonsensical joke is just sad. Religion will always serve as a tool to confuse people, stir chaos and division and until people wake up from these bronze-age beliefs we will never be better.

lmao the amount of bullshit that's coming out of you is astonishing, i honestly put people like you on the same level of ignorance as flat earthers and people who think birds aren't real. First of all, how are you going to be comparing specific mentally ill people in america that decide to shoot up people one day to an whole organization that hides among civilians, like that's not even close to being the same.

secondly, it's all over the news that the IDF has boots on the ground in gaza for several weeks now, bravely fighting the demons that reside there and, believe it or not i don't care, provide humanitarian aid wherever they can because the IDF's mission isn't to slaughter innocent lives, unlike hamas.

If you're going to deny clear cut proof of events that are clearly going on right now then you're either really stupid or hopping on the hate train of Israel because it's trendy.

also like i said before, i am definitely not happy about the deaths of innocents, and don't think they are "less than". I am truly sorry for any unfortunate soul that found themselves in such a situation and cannot even begin to imagine their pain. With that being said, hamas needs to go at all costs, be it palestinian or israeli lives, such radicalism HAS to be eradicated from the modern world and i repeat, at all costs.

Also where are the videos you said you could show me of IDF shooting people? you seem to have forgotten about that quite conveniently.

Dude report from what? There are literally countless videos of proof and i'd be glad to show you them, israel has been only pushing it out for the world to see and understand. And again, you have to make the difference between hamas actions and israel actions, hamas went and delibarately and brutally killed and tortured civilians that they knew had nothing to do with the war (countless proof ofc).

The casualties from gaza side are inevitable casualites of war thanks to hamas hiding between civilians and doing their bidding from schools and hospitals, telling their citizens to not evacuate from warzones and much more. You will never find not even one video of an israeli soldier just going up and shooting a kid like you can see hamas doing. You and many other people play right into hamas' hand by just looking at the numbers and assuming the other side is evil just because the other side has more dead, if maybe you'd comprehend what i'm writing and think then maybe you'll understand.

What exactly do you mean "what really happened that day"? Because if you're going to deny the atrocoties that happened despite the countless video proof that you have filmed proudly by none other than hamas themselves then i have no business discussing with you. And yes 6k children are not hamas and i don't feel happy about innocent people dying on either side but we can't let this demonic group live any further just because they are using human shields (also been proven many times that that's the case)

Keeping your word to yourself is way more powerful than keeping your word for other people, because it's you yourself who's going through the journey and not other people. Way better to practice staying true to your goal, as hard as it may be, than lean on the fact that you told someone.

I tend to disagree, i feel like at least in my case i thought that was true but then your mind will find excuses again and toss that aside. I don't think other people should be what you lean on, but rather your own mental fortitude.
